How to build a clean junction | Transport Fever 2 Mainline #10
Ойындар
An unintended brief pause in proceedings on the Transport Fever 2 Mainline to discuss the merits of junction construction and how to avoid them looking absolutely woeful once you've built them. Yes, actual tips and tricks are discussed and even though I may not always follow my own advice you can see these actual tricks or tips delivering on their promise.
Soak it in and soon you'll be building something that is almost as shoddy as I make. You're welcome.

Behold! While some may describe this section of the video as the link graveyard, I offer you treasures, delights and mischief. This section of the description rarely changes, except when it does (*).
Okay, that's a total lie, it's a link graveyard. It is however delivered with the kind of panache you have come to expect.
Why is any of this interesting? Because I try to make the nonsense that occurs behind each of these links worth your while. You can trust me. No reason is offered why you can trust me, just know that you can.
Let's do the commercial gubbins first. Anything you procure from the below will help out the channel, although I might spend some of the kickbacks I get on "projects". If any of these projects see the light of day, you'll be the first to know.

Let us move on from tales of commerce to things more fun-loving.

Not in the kind of way that offers life-affirming, inspirational text with a waterfall in the background, but in a jolly, acerbic kind of way? Follow me on Twitter. That's what I do. Do you want to know what videos are coming up each week? A few people do. I don't always get around to publishing the schedule, but when I do, I do it on Facebook. Not sure why I chose Facebook, but there you are. / cnlfailure
Okay, you've made it. You clicked at least two links, now get your reward.
(*) - Today's secret: Obviously I'd intended to get more done here, but I didn't. Instead here's the same 200 meters of track being bulldozed and relayed a dozen times. You're also welcome.

The Colonel doing a tutorial on clean junctions. This should be good for a laugh!
When the Colonel started to use the dead end track, I started giggling like my daughters do. My favorite part though was hearing the end bits will be returning. Keep up the great work Mr Failure.
Yes ! I was keeping track of how many rebuilds you done and I can confirm it’s was Atleast eleventeen times
"I have a habit of building junctions that don't work and then going 'Would you mind working awfully'" And then the junctions get confused and say "That's what we're doing! We're working awfully!'" Gotta love the Colonel. If you don't he'll set Ron Bongos on you!

Howmany people pause the video and go to get a coffee when ever The Boss says "Dig in People, we might be here for a while" haha Luv your work Colonel
Could've kept the video going a tad more so you can see how that train passes through this juction you've just spent 20+ minutes sorting out.

Remember kids: if you delete it more than twice, you're faffing with it. In order to build a tidy junction, you must first bulldoze the universe.

Favourite series!
Yeah, I definitely think you'll be visiting something upon this junction. It works but I can see it potentially getting jammed up to apocalyptic proportions. Great video, by the way!
Great episode! Start and end with trains and lots of bulldozing action in between. What more could I want? Absolutely nothing.
yay, bulldozer episode, lost count after 10, i can remember your early days of track junction experiments, some did work, others halted everything within 5 miles, all in a days work or episode for colonel.
Mr. Failure, That is all I can ask for. I love some queuing up! Sincerely, This bold witted commenter.
Love an episode of bulldozing and track-building.
Yay! The $$$mothing Gun appears ! Edit : 80 for the 20 Colonel teaches perfection. Because, it lays a lot of track. Where we heading at the beginning of this episode again???? Plan __ following in the next episode.😆 “I been Colonel Failure everybody…” Times X. Cheerio.!
good god scared whats ahead in this video by the title. love ya colonel.
I know you’re planning to keep the “museum” pierce track there, it what if you did your running flyover and connected the passenger track to that bit out of Picks Creek. You could then run the lumber train under the mainline and forget about its existence until you go to upgrade the trains
@13:30 You forgot to fix the incline on the main double-track section. You know, click on the little arrow in the little box:) You can get a ballast-free junction on an incline as long as both the main and the branching sections are set to the same inclination.
love watching ya faff about but that last piece of track is a bit unnecessary as no trains head that way. cant wait to see where this goes next! want to get back to playing along again!
When we ride on trains to observe the Isambard failures Brunel engineering achievements that his nibs is displaying to all & sundry and we don't exactly know where the destination is it's no small comfort that at times neither does colonel failure But after this master class in track laying we now have 3 snippets of technical know-how [1] have plenty of money [2] patience of a saint [3] break any rules and throw away the rule book & start again... again etc. or as Isambard would say why give up when you can dazzle them with your bulldozer skills.
"If it's a crime... Do it!" -Col. Failure.
Colonel i do believe that you have forgotten your Mods list!!! In either episode 7 or 8 you said that when you get up to episode 10 you would add you mods list to the description!!!!! haha loving the new mainline...

I have to question your rail building logic there Colonel. Why not build a new station along the mainline at Picks Creek and avoid the awkward and time consuming y section.

You do know a junction doesn't need to be on the flat. As long as de peeling of bid is in excacly the same incline as de main track. Same goes for diamonds👍🏻 Anyway, love watching your video's
