How to build a cheap and easy micro crawler indoor course

#microcrawler #axialscx24 #MicroRCCourse
We took our RC life to the next level and build a cheap and easy micro crawler course for our Axial SCX24 RC Jeeps. This obstacle course was a ton of fun and we managed to make it for less than $30. (Most of the cost going to spray paint and hot glue sticks.)
We made this Micro crawler course from styrofoam, card board and expanding foam. Then added some course sand and spray painted. For a final touch I added in some greenery I got from the dollar store.

Good video, thanks for the pool noodle idea. Now I will share one of mine. Use a 50 percent water and 50 percent white glue mix in a spray bottle. Spray it on and smear it around with a paint brush then sprinkle sand on certain spots where you wish to have alittle more grip to overcome the obsticle easier. Add more sand as needed. Thanks for all your effort in this video, I sub'ed and thumbs up! 👍👍👍

This is so rad! I think I'm going to build one and put it in the bed of my truck to use while at the races or tailgating. Now I'm going to need 3 more crawlers

Really interesting build, I love the cardboard tubes. I think I'd make the triangle climb and the cardboard roll loggs removable obstacles, so they could be repositioned or upgraded, but it looks a lot of fun.

Cool! I'm an 'old-school' R/C guy and had a blast back in the old days with an MRC/Tamiya 'Sand Scorcher' buggy, but am thinking one of these tiny crawlers might be a blast. I also love model RR'ing, so making a indoor course sounds fun. Thanks---good tips!

I'm thinking multiple little movable courses that can be rearranged to have a few different layouts and obstacle attack angles 🤔 I like the fact that it can be tucked away, good video!

Hey Matt, Its so good to see you again. Hope you, your family and every one from the ERT NC are well and ok. My regards to each and everyone. We were definitely thinking the same thing. as soon as you started the disclaimer in where you adviced to weare gloves. It just reminds me of the time when the styrofoam pipe breaks in your backpack or I don't remember exactly where it was, but soon spread all over the place, the floor, your hands etc. and it was liked glued to your hands. Where so bad, I dont know with what exacly you took it out. Ps. Loved the RC's outdoor course obstacles track with the minis (Jeeps). May God Blesses You'll

Great idea for using toilet rolls and foam packaging for the terrain. The spray foam is ok for some situations, but it’s air toxic, very sticky and not too cheap. I’ve seen Hot gluing recycle bin boxes and various shapes of formed or pack foam working together as a hill base will hold up well as long as you sheet plaster over everything afterwards

You can save a ton of money you just get a gallon of paste or glue 10 is out and make paper mache and you'll be much lighter and won't cost Pennies on the dollar. When you get finished you give it a light coating of mortar mix very light and rub it by hand and you can make an awesome crawler course for peanuts remember paper mache with newspaper or whatever paper you got
