Loved this video series! Been itching to build myself a teardrop for a couple years now! What is the tarp-ish material you glued to the bottom of the floor?

Theses videos go well with the plans! Thanks for making them. One question, at 3.12 you seem to be stapling something to the end cap. I don’t see that in the plans, or did I overlook it. Thanks your channel is great

That is a small strip of the cutoff glued the small flat edge to make the angle side continuous. Hopefully that makes sense…

We have steel framing that hold and protect it.

First of all, nice video series, a lot of inspiration for my build! Can you tell me what kind of glue you use for the floor? is it elastic or rigid?

Thank you! It’s construction adhesive and it’s somewhat elastic.

Great stuff guys!!! That black paint you used for under the trailer was for extra protection? You added a "black tarp" like protection on top of the black paint and I wondered if it was extra protection. Also, that secret foot compartment in the floor is attached how? Glue and screws only? Or is there a secret support beam behind the scenes? My buddy has a small metal bar that supported his foot compartment for his build. I thought that his was overkill. Have you had any issues with the floor giving out when your feet are in it? Im also assuming that you guys arent completely putting all of your weight on it because youre just sitting, or am I wrong? Lol.

You are correct on all accounts! The black “fence” paint penetrates and protects the wood from water damage. The tarp is a woven breathable material that protects as well. And it helps seal other aspects as well. For the floor box, it does have metal support bars underneath that are welded to the frame. And it’s not used to put any weight on, just a place to drop your feet while sitting at the table, or for storage u see the mattress.
