Really appreciate the video! I bought my first wig last year, and since then I moved homes. With a convention coming up, I took a look at it and saw all the tangles in it and was really worried about the right way to fix it. I just fix it by braiding it, use the same comb like yours and lost a lot of hair from my wig, did solve the tangled since it's a detangling comb but after a week or so it got tangled again.

I fixed one of my very very long wigs but when I tried to style one of my wigs it took forever and it still looks bad. It’s because it had braids and I tried to fix them but they look horrible💀

Hey! I’m only 2 years late for this video but I have a question. I’m being Morticia for Halloween and bought a cheap black wig from Target. I don’t have any combs specifically for wigs, but don’t want to tear up the hair. Any advice? Thanks!!

Sorry this comment is late. You don't really need any fancy combs. Just go slow and brush in small sections from the bottom up. It's completely normal for some hairs to come out.

Thank you! I love this wig too!! I bought it from amazon a couple years ago when I was parrot for Halloween. Lol. It's not in stock anymore, but, they have similar ones on amazon. Search for "rainbow wigs" on amazon.

Yup, I think this brush would work. Just start from the bottom and work your way up. On really hard tangles, try separating them with your hands. If they are really tough consider cutting some out. A detangling spay may help also. Good luck!

Hmm, what are you having trouble with the pigtails? Maybe hold the hair at the base of the pigtails while you brush or maybe take the pigtails out to brush the wig. My Harley Quinn Wig Tutorial might be helpful. That's a pigtail wig. kzread.info/dash/bejne/pIuiuMGsoMfbmtI.html

It's kind of like brushing your own hair. Brush the hair on the right side of partying on the right side and brush the hair on the left side on the left side.

Brushing a wig is easy. Start from the bottom up and do small sections at a time. Hold onto the hair as your brushing it. For tough tangles you can first try pulling them apart with your hands.

My mikan wig is a mess and i have to go to a convention tomorrow ty so much

Dang I'm sorry your wig doesn't have much hair left. If you don't want to brush it, you could try detangling it with your fingers.

I just bought an Ibuki wig! It's so long!! Long wigs tangle so easily. I think you can totally save it! It might just take some time brushing it out. You can try using a detangling spray on it, that may help. And separate the real tough tangles with you fingers first before brushing them. Hope that helps! 🌸

It's a lot like normal hair when you brush it. If there are not a lot of tangles not much falls out. If there are tangles, your brush will accumulate more hairs while brushing the tangles out. But wigs are usually so full that I've never have had a wig go "bald." Lol. 🎃

A lot of synthetic wigs can totally take the heat. It's kind of like normal hair in that some hair can withstand more heat than others and if the straightener is too hot the hairs will burn. So I suggest doing a patch test on a small section of hair to see how much heat it can take. Start with a low setting and move up.🎃

That's right. Some can take more heat than others. I've only had one wig before that couldn't take any heat.🎃

I watched so many videos recently where people actually say that you can't get a synthetic wig wet and you can't wear it more than 10 times and whatever you do don't brush it just really bad advice

There is so much information out there. I say try different things and see what works best. To me brushing is totally fine.

Yup, that's normal for hair to fall out. Luckily wigs are pretty thick. Going slow and using a wide tooth comb might help reduce loss of hair. Also detangling with your hand first may help as well.
