For crispy: (crackers/chips) microwave 30 secs (or more if needed) for soft (harden bread or cookies/pasteries) microwave 30 or more secs with a small cup of water next to it on the plate

Top tip: If your chip bag is foiled lined but them on plate before microwaving. Metal and Microwaves dont mix.

I have a tip for you. If your cookies (we call them biscuits in Australia) are stale, pop them in your frost free fridge for a few hours. The fan assisted condenser unit extracts moisture from the air in the fridge, including the air including your cookies. In a few hours of desiccation your oreo's are crisp again. Party Party!

I tested it. I put my stale corn chips in the microwave for 30 seconds and here are the results: They indeed became crispy. My microwave has a malfunction where the table doesn't spin, so I had to put it all on one side. I found that it is important to evenly distribute a few chips over a plate, not the whole bag at once. You don't want the chips to be laying on top of eachother for this to work. I had to microwave it in 4-5 batches to get the full bag crispy again.

When you're selling bags of air with a handful of complimentary air. if it _really_ needed to be a whole 86% air, why would brands vary so much, many pumping *significantly* less air in? If one brand can get away with less than half air and still have their chips remain in tact, why must another sell us 86%?

Chips (and pretty much all food) are sold by mass not volume. If you look at the bottom of your chip bag you can see the amount of chips usually given in ounces. This mass is measured in the factory before the bag is filled with nitrogen and sealed. The puffiness of the bag results in a distinct volume change but it's no difference to the actual amount of chips. If you find a brand that sells more mass for less money that's called finding a deal. It has nothing to do with a brand getting away with anything.

@@ACSReactions is the large bag necessary or is it a marketing tactic? Because id assume most people are not checking the weight on the bag so the bigger bag just makes it look like your getting more than you are, or is it a shelf life type of thing?

Bread may stale faster in the fridge, but it will keep it from getting moldy a lot longer. I'll take stale bread over moldy bread anytime, especially since most of the time it's going to get toasted anyway. And freezing might work great for stocking up, but who the heck wants to wait around for it to defrost to make a sandwhich?

Puggy Things Most modern freezers has a built in defroster that prevents moisture. That is why modern freezers don't have a coating of ice on the walls.

Dragon Skunk Freezers would just freeze the egg wouldn't it? I'm talking about the normal cold part of a fridge that you'd put some milk or veggies in that would be cold enough to put a little moisture on the egg shell

it broke my microwave

I have the shittiest microwave that usually takes twice as long to heat anything and 30 secs made my tostitos golden brown. They are crispy again though lol

Right...so my lays were stale soooooo I put them in my microwave for 30 secs and nope the middle chip got black and burned and my lungs got full of the fumes btw I did this at two am
