I really appretiate this video, as people are often told black tea could not be steeped multiple times like green tea. I don't know where this misinformation came from and why it persits, but I guess because people are used to steep their black tea in boiling water even when using loose tea leaves instead of tea bags.

Can I brew Japanese black tea in my Kyusu? I normally brew sencha and gyokuro in it but I heard if you brew something else in the kyusu, it loses the flavour. Is that true?

It is typical to dedicate unglazed teapots to a single style of tea, since the clay can theoretically absorb the flavor of the tea you brew in it. However, it’s entirely up to you how strictly you want to follow this custom, and there are also many people who brew all their teas in the same clay pot.
