Hi from Pakistan, dear after watching you video I knew the importance of water chemistry for discus breeding tank, so I decided to buy a domestic RO filter which claims it will give 150 gallon of water per day, so now give me an advice it's a good choice to buy the system, because I don't want to buy RO water again and again. And should I also need a TDs measuring device along with RO water purifier?

First time i shifted my pair in a separate tank (70x40x45cm) after spawning 3x in a community tank and got eaten by others. Any suggestions? I have 6.0 pH in my community tank and now pair shifted into a 6.8-7.0pH. How long it will take for them to lay again? I dont have RO water. Can i use some of my main tank water?

The pH is fine.. You need to also have a Tds below 100 for breeding... Rest is all OK.. Now give them some time to settle in the new tank.. And get used to the place.. Only then will start breeding....

Other wise the cone will not get submerged in the water easily.. You can make really small holes in the bottom

Bro I have not tried Falcon spot blue.. So I am not sure... Methylene blue I have tried.. Quantity will be mentioned on the bottle... Else 2 to 3 ml is OK... Pour very little qty first till you get a light blue colour across the tank... Do not add too much... Also if you have decorative items remove them.. Because it will all catch up that blue colour

Hi...only when you have issues with hatching we need to reduce tds and see... So it can be a water issue or fertility issue...

@@FwrapperAqua I have already 1 good spawn from my pair. With a ppm of 154. But I thought if you lower the ppm to much they don't have enough vitamins in the water and they can go sick. .hi... Yes you can... But please check the TDS of the water and then use.. It should be between 150-200... Very low tds is also bad...

Thank you Bro. . I had 3 breading pairs which I raised from babies. Several times eggs hatched but never survived. All pairs died and left with three fishes. Expecing a pair from them.

That can be due to.. High tds of the water or if the eggs are not fertile

Temp 28.. PH is regular 6 to 8..mainly tds of the water should be below 100 ppm

I have not tried it... Also if the pair is fertile.. The eggs will not catch fungus.. So sometimes it can be fertility issue also.. Everytime methylene blue is not required

two of my discuss fish which i think are newly form pair are cleaning cone from 3 weeks but not laying eggs should I separate them from community tank our should I wait and let them be in community tank or is it because they are in community tank that's why they are not laying eggs please help me with this

Hi.. You need to add methylene blue to the water.. Once they lay the eggs... It helps in avoiding fungus... Hope they are in a separate bare bottom tank?

My pH was between 7.5 to 8 and my tds was below 100ppm... Ideally it's good if the pH is between 6.5 to 7.5 for breeding
