We have same problem but i don't have new lock now I'm going to buy new hopefully it will work.

That guy broke its key cylinder. So we replaced only that cylinder. Other everything was same

The lock broke in half when I got it out with the adjustable wrench and it fell through the door. It doesn't unlock when I turn the key. What should I do?

well if you watch closer then you will see that, this guy also break screw in the bottom for inserting New Key Cylinder, remember new cylinder must be in center of the whole lock. you have seen that,on key cylinder there is black movable knob which supposed to be the one which will open the lock, so its this knob must be in center position

@@WorkingIdeas thanks so much for your response. My son is not much of a handyman and he basically stripped the whole mechanism so now the only thing left is a screw and of course its still locked lol. He is going to have to saw the deadbolt or take off the door

no brother it was real. this is a common complaint we receive in our Accommodation area. Our maintenance team use to settle these complaint when there were no choice left to open the door
