Usually condition all my bags, let them sit in conditioner for like 20mins tops then, wash them hand rinse them or throw them in washer just rinse them without soap. And then tumble mine for 30mins. Usually work great for me, and sometimes boil my bags with softener for like 15mins on stiffer bags. That works for me too and then hand rinse them then tumble then low heat.

Great content!! Def keep up the cornhole 101 videos! I’m a pretty seasoned thrower but still found good pointers in your content.. especially ep4/the roll bag!! 😜 Any pointers on how I can wash/clean a couple sets of slide-rites? they are definitely broken in but have been used a lot on dirt/gravel pits (in a very non competitive league so they’ve seen their fair share of “ground time” lol) they have also been played in all the weather conditions (thanks new england!) Any advice would be awesome. 🤙🏽

Take them in the sink with some dawn and water and scrub them with your hands and then air dry on either a towel or in a dishwasher rack to drain water. Shouldn’t flop up any more and will get most of the dirt out

This information is terrific. So depending on the bag materials, which I know there are numerous, how do you know what approaches to take for those? Someone else in the comments asked about breaking in suede specifically. What are the guidelines I guess from material to material? Recently Subscribed! :)

I usually start with just a hot water soak and tumble. If I feel that the bags could use more ill do wrinkle guard. I take breaking in bags lightly because its very easy to destroy a bag. Once they are like 70-80% broken in I will throw the rest of the way.

Nice video on all the different ways... If you could, what would be cool is to take all the methods you shown here and show the before an after between them all. Get a bunch of cheap bags or if a bag company can donate you some bags and show the before and after's on all the methods. Also you missed one other that's been going around...Sac Relax :) though this would fall in the conditioner/softener line I feel, but they say it is different than those products though no one has figure it out yet what it really is.

@@CornholeBagReviews Thanks!! I just came across that in your other video...I may try that on some basic bags to see how it works. I saw you said you use Wrinkle Guard..assuming Downy. Some things I question about it if it leaves a residue over it and that is has Amodimethicone as one of its ingredient which is a silicone base chemical used in hair products. Plus I am sure the material on all the bags would react different as you mention here in this video. Which I mention it be cool if you had a before an after through the different processes. I am also want to attempt the simple 50/50 water and vinegar method as I been reading this help soften clothes. A bag company needs to come out with "Pre Wash" bags like they do with jeans ...lol There you go, a new series for you to make if you want hahah... "Does it work?" (Does this product/process work on breaking in your bags?) Borax? Conditioner? Hand Lotion? Bleach lol? Softener? Baking Soda? and so on... I thank you for the response..Keep up the good work and videos!!

Have you ever tried a double boiler or steamer? I'm like you boiling scares me. With the double boiler your bag won't sit at the bottom of the pot where all the heat goes. That is what they use to melt chocolate without it burning....the steam from the bottom part steams up the top pot heating the water in it or if using a steam pot the steam just penetrates the bags

  • @CornholeBagReviews

@@CornholeBagReviews yea boiling directly just sounds risky for $60-$100 bags. Next time I buy some cheap bags for family I think I will try steaming them...a couple I will condition then steam...others just steam. Problem with cheaper bags is the material is so different.
