Yup! A lot harder to pull off in an actually duel at least from my experience, but still a pretty interesting mechanic

Great channel! I'm a major noob, but I'm pretty sure staggering is half based on where exactly your opponent's camera is pointed, so if their up against a wall or moving quickly they might be looking right at you instead of off to the side the way their character is facing. Result: no stagger.

Yeah it’s pretty much based on camera angle and character model position. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten myself staggered by trying to dodge through someone when they were spamming me 😪

As a yoda main, I strongly recommend using his star card that increases his unblockable dash ability to 3 instead of 2! It’s, in my opinion, his strongest star card. That card enables you to basically nonstop run into your opponents, bait parry’s, stop health regen with the dash attack, hook swings, staggers, basically anything. You can get out of vader/mauls choke with his presence ability and out of kylo pull/ freezes! Hope this helps

Yeah man! I rotate between using that, 60 + extra health on presence, extra saber damage and his increased push range. They’ve all been helpful for me, I always keep the 8% damage reduction on no matter what. Good advice though, I hope more people see this comment as well 🙏🏽

Honestly yea, being able to have 3 guaranteed hits is so beneficial while mixing attacks, catching opponent off guard in defense, and a great finisher when the opponent is just one tap, and I personally don’t get bothered by the slower recharge of the ability, as worth it as getting 3 dodges with Rey

I know exactly what you mean bro, I find that trying to dodge through someone or to the sides while your being attacked can make you get staggered even more. That’s why I usually try to dodge backwards 🙏🏽

Amazing duels, I have to learn that crazy jump attack, am used to staying on ground. I have been the recipient of those jump attacks and wow you can die fast.

Yeah the big thing to remember is that if someone is trying to jump attack you, you need to move don’t keep holding block all the time or your movement will get predictable

I always like 100 for soldier sensitivity and then 65-75 for zoomed sensitivity (saber heroes) 40 zoomed sensitivity (blaster heroes)

Not yet! I just know you need to aim for the side of your opponents body to increase the chances of staggering them. Sometimes you can stagger someone from hitting them from the front(when they are looking directly at you). I appreciate that bro, glad I could help 😁

You may be struggling because your friends are predicting your next moves with good timing. You need to counter predict their predictions (I hope that makes sense). Watch for patterns things your friends like to do over and over again. The more you train the better you’ll get. What’s your sensitivity?

Is walk-in faster than hook swing because hook swing is basically walk-in and jump. Idk if walk-in is faster because maybe the jumping animation takes more time or something... Have u ever noticed the difference?

I wouldn’t look too deep into which ones is faster! Walk-In is unpredictable, Jump Attack is more predictable, but it gives you more opportunities for getting angles if you miss

Staggers r from hitting ppl on the side which is why it happens so often on failed hooks

Anakin & Kylo’s hook swings are nasty cuz they have that long animation you can hit em like late as shit with it like that almost like as you’re landing.. I like Vader’s the best tho. I think Anakin’s are easiest to land but Vader’s are quickest with a massive hit box.

I always wondered if there was a difference in range at which you could hit someone when your doing hook swings with different characters. It was always easier for me to hit them with Kylo for some reason, I always attributed it to his animation swing speed 🤷🏾‍♂️

@@Kid_Vinnie yeah I mean that’s what I attribute it too as well. But I still feel like him, Anakin, and Vader’s hit boxes are all 3 like almost bigger than anybody else’s though. I can just make theirs work every time but I have trouble making like Rey or Maul or somebody work. Yoda’s are actually fairly easy too surprisingly. People that aren’t great Yoda players look at him instead of the reticle, so it throws them off.

Yes thats also how they can happen! Some of the concepts in this video are outdated, but the principles are still same, if your camera is positioned in a certain way, relative to theirs then your going to end up staggering them

Whats up Nathan, if you want to perfect a hook swing with Kylo then I would use him as much as possible. Check out my “How to Jump Attack” video as well. I show about 3 1v1s where I specifically use Kylo and I hit a lot of hook swings with him. Practice, practice, practice 🙏🏽

@@SpookiePookie1 I always run Flesh is Weak for either game mode that’s mandatory. For HvV I’ll prob use Jedi Killer and either Sith Trained or 90% DR. For Hero Showdown I’ll use Beating Heart and 90% DR because people will parry your claw rush all the time.

The only glitch that I know of is the Finn glitch where he can give himself and his teammates infinite damage reduction.

@@Kid_Vinnie I'm seeing in your thumbnail that block can be broken, which is what constantly happens to me, if I have just a little health they just spam saber strikes or blasters and they know they will cause damage even when holding block. That's not standard because if I try to do the same opponents don't receive not even small damage, so they just have to hold block until they recover some health. Another game breaking bug is abikities sometimes doing nothing, or some abilities dominance inconsistency, vgr. Han shoulder charge sometimes dominating Grevious claw rush, but sometimes the other way around. If it were not glitchy, everything would be documented, rather than having to rely on plahers themselves to find how the game works because DICE doesn't know at the time of release

Yeah those other bugs can be really annoying bro, it sucks that EA won’t go back and fix any of that stuff because they really left us with a broken game. Despite all of that though I still think this is one of the best Star Wars games ever lol, let’s just hope they can make an even better one in the coming years
