How to bottom bounce for brown trout

It's the middle of November, and we're running the Thundermist Eye Drops, bottom bouncing for Brown Trout or Steelhead. Here's the thing: when you're bottom bouncing, you just want to keep that sinker tumbling along the bottom and having that trailing bait along the backside. The trout are sitting on the bottom and they'll see that bait bouncing by, and they'll hit it.

FYI : Tackle direct sells them out of New Jersey . Great website. . That's the only place I can buy Thundermist in the states .

How fast is the current down there?

that's hard to answer because it varies a lot by location due to points and back-eddies as well as the hydro intake fluctuations - safe to say though, the current is generally strong, especially near the Queenston/Lewiston bridge

Lower Niagara...right off of Ft Niagara near the Coast Guard station. You can see the Coast Guard boats in the background.

As a Canadian do I need an American fishing license to fish the American side of the Niagara river without landing on shore.

Yes...just as Americans need Canadian fishing licenses when they fish the Canadian side of the river or Lake. In the case of fishing the American side of the Niagara, you would need a NY non-resident fishing license. www.dec.ny.gov/regulatory/permits-licenses/sporting-and-use/sporting/fishing-license
