Hello sir My name is Ken. How old are those fishes u just fed with the egg mixture to increase the protein contents and what’s is the size of feed. 3.5 mm or 4mm. My friend, you did not tell us what was the original crude protein of the feed and what is the new crude protein that was added, remember there the limit of crude protein required by fish, if it too low is bad and if it is too high not good too. So we don't go on doing try error. Please my contribution is not to discredit you but to add more value to your work thanks all the best.

Kelvin there are a few number of catfish farmers in Ghana. If you are buying a small number of fingerlings like below 10000, it would be advisable to buy from Ghana due to the cost of transportation. You can contact me on 0545373519 for your fingerlings.

Am new and I want to start catfish business

Thank you for the advice. But eggs only contain 32% protein. It’s true that eggs are nutritious but unless the feed has lower protein percentage than 32% mixing raw eggs with them won’t really increase it. Much of egg proteins are also not easy to synthesize. But if you’ve been doing this for a while and seen improvements then I’ll give it a shot. Also how often do you feed your catfish to make sure they eat all of it ? Do you give 1kg per day to 40 fish or so ? Or do you feed them twice a day with that amount ?

Please has anybody tried this method? Any result?

Can it be applied for tilapia?

Feed them just before the sun rise and at dusk...Do not feed when it is raining and cold.
