    Love seeing how others book. This is a really good video. I do things quite differently, and tend to use a physical notebook for my PPVs, depending on the depth of detail I go into. I do like your storyline structure though, might have to employ something similar.

    Thanks! You know, i do have a lil notebook on my desk to jot random stuff down like new tag team idea or "push" certain wrestler. Perfect example, I woke up this morning with a new idea for the Local to Global series and jotted some notes down that will end up in a spreadsheet soon enough!

    Love this. I will watch it many times. Even though I've been playing since EWR, my favorite vids from my favorite Bookers to follow are their "How I Book" videos. One thing I would like to know is how you decide who to push in your long term saves. There is always a slight difference with each booker. So I'm curious as to how you decide. Keep it up. Love the content.

    Thanks man! Appreciate the comment, it's a bit too long to go into detail around my decision making in long term feuds, etc. it's a combination of many things. I'm currently collating questions so will add this to a follow up video with those answers in detail!

    As someone who has been planning a WWE save for the October RWC (released today funnily enough!) this vid has been great as i've now got some of your ideas to supplement mine 🤣. Also using Google Sheets but mine is slightly different to yours. Would definitely watch a WWE booking series if you decide at some point to do one. Looking forward to Part 2 and keep up the great work!

    I think you just made my TEW booking a helluva lot easier. I've been going by an Excel spreadsheet that keeps track of W-L-D records but the way you've got it broken down, I should be able to keep up with everything a lot smoother.

    I mostly follow Japanese feds which aren't very storyline driven so I thought planning a month's worth of shows would be tedious, but I sat down yesterday and once I started writing I couldn't stop. Got a lot of ideas for this AEW save thanks to this vid and it's actually been fun planning out shows. Excel is killer. Cheers for the tips 🎉

    @@thefrenchted I'll no life my save this weekend and report back soon 🫡 I was curious though, what's the plan to get international non-English speakers over? I've experimented with the Cornellverse and found that after some time wrestlers do become fluent in English if they relocate but I'm not sure what the best approach is at the beginning. I got some favorites I wanna try and sign 🤔

  • @thefrenchted

    @thefrenchted

    9 ай бұрын

    @Viaraze i look forward to hearing about it! I would typically pair them up with someone who has high entertainment skills or simply just not have them cut promos. Usually when I bring in a foreign talent, it's because of their in ring ability, so i let that do the talking until they're over and hopefully by then their English is passable (vice versa if it's a English talent in Japan, etc)

    @@thefrenchted A little spoiler from my save, I was thinking about pairing Nakajima from NOAH with Jay White since he's set to be leaving Noah at the end of the month. I'm not sure if the October RWC mod has his contract expiring around that time though 🤔 I mention it because I'm not sure if he'll relocate to the US once I sign him if he stays employed in Japan too. If he doesn't, do you know if his English would ever improve in game?

  • @thefrenchted

    @thefrenchted

    9 ай бұрын

    @Viaraze workers tend to relocate to wherever their loyalty lies the most. So if they're on an exclusive deal with a japanese company, they'll likely move to japan and therefore traits like learning English won't happen. Whereas if they're signed to AEW, but also on a handshake with NOAH, with NOAH being the smaller company, they would stay living in US, and would likely pick up English quicker than Japanese (if for example, they spoke neither language).. hope that makes sense?

    I use a very similar spreadsheet to you but do a couple of things different. I make my heels bold so I can see who is face and who is heel so after I've done changes it shows and I dont have to remember. Also next to each wrestler I record their best score in a match that is not effected by chemistry so I can see which wrestlers are scoring low and who is scoring high in the group lower so I know who to use to elevate the better wrestlers popularity

  • @thefrenchted

    @thefrenchted

    Ah great ideas! I've never been too worried about the face heel divide, a penalty I receive often in my series'. But that's a great shout, especially for a promotion like WWE where the whole "face v heel" is quite important!

  • @PrecisionTom171

    @PrecisionTom171

    @thefrenchted yeah also with divided rosters like in your AEW series when your drafting it makes it easier to get a balance of heels and faces on each show in each spot on the card whilst freshening up matches available

    Because I looked at the video's chapters, and it seems to me like you'll be using examples from your ongoing series, may I ask if there's spoilers for your other series in this video? Because I really like your booking style and I think this video might help me a ton. For reference I'm three episodes behind on your AEW series and have yet to start Make NWA Great Again (but really want to!). Don't mind spoilers so much on the Local to Global Series. I just keep all the info in my head and just backtrack to look at what I did in previous shows if I need to, as well as keeping different divisions in my head as well. Idk maybe its just me, been having several great wwe playthoughs without extra typing

    I think for me, I like to have it all planned as structured. Like I say in the video, I typically have a month or so planned at a time before I even begin to book in-game, and I haven't the brain power to hold it all in my head without writing it down. I do think that for long term saves, a spreadsheet is the way to go. Just for ease. I did a NJPW save that was like 5 years long with no spreadsheet and it was amazing! But again, it's what works for you!
