This was almost exactly what I was looking for! I was going for Mosaic effect, but the part I was missing was dragging the effect directly onto the overlay, rather than adding it to its own section like I would add most other effects.

Honestly, this helped SO much. Most tutorials are mobile capcut (nothing against mobile) but I dont have it on mobile, so this really helped me editing on PC. Thanks!

Drag the effect on TOP of the certain effect you want it to only be on

I don't know if you can help me but every time I export the video the part where I put a blurred is not that blurred anymore. Even If I adjust it already to the maximum effect/level.

That just seems like a bug. You can use the windows repair tool on the Capcut app, and that might fix it. Here's a tutorial on how to do it using windows 10 kzread.info/dash/bejne/eIlr17xuiNTKZ7g.html

I don't have the option to change the opacity, despite clicking on the blurr effect. Any help would be much appreciated
