This video really demonstrates a lot of techniques quickly: creating a gradient palette, mixing, brush treatment, blending strokes. You show more than you tell, move very efficiently, and mix in your own personal tips/tricks. Everything is well lit and easy to see and follow - thanks so much!

I wish I could get one of your brushes, but I can't now... So I used two makeup brushes (the blush and loose powder ones and they worked!)

I've just become serious and committed to painting everyday, however technical parts do not inspire me to continue. This is exactly what I needed to restore the original feeling I fell in love with. Hi Felix & Wifey, I have struggled for so long with getting the first blended layer on my canvas. So I have done a lot of stressing each time I did a painting and sometimes took me a good few hours to start because of this. That is such a good idea to “lay out” your colour mixes on the pallet before you start, I have never thought of doing that before which is probably why one colour is pretty much dry by the time I get to start the next and I have so much trouble blending... so clever! I also like your brush blending.. so often I “lose” my lighter colours... will,definitely give this a try. Stunning result! Thank you

Hi Feliks! Great beginner color blending video- I recently started blending most of my oil colors on the palette before starting a painting, and I found it saves me a lot of time! I used to blend colors as I needed them and just blended a small amount of each color and had to re-blend. Keep up the great videos!

THANK YOU ! i have been watching MIX Michael Langs videos along with yours, [ i love his abstracts ] but for the life of me i could not blend the way he does but now, your tutorial is God sent ! Your videos are now subscribed by me...i would like to see you do an abstract using this blending technique - i am a decent impressionist but recently decided to try abstracts [ light and color ] i consider myself a beginner in many areas and blending is one of them - btw, i am not a 'copy' artist , but sometimes one must do similar paintings as others to find his or her own style and technique . Once again grateful and thank you for the inspirational tutorial !
