Congratulations Trevor. This is by far the most straightforward description on how to bind a Spektrum satellite receiver to your Trx. Well done mate! Wish I found this vid earlier as it would have saved me many hours of being led up the garden path by so-called experts who take 15 minutes or longer to explain what is a 3 min process. Thanks again.

Yes good video. Straight forward and easy for me to understand. I'm new to this and loving it! Thank you. Liked and subscribed! Maybe a vid on binding emax Tinyhawks to the Spektrum Some 4648 reciever? Thanks again!

Don't forget to bind the receiver a 2nd time b4 flying! Setup all your servos to their control surfaces then rebind so the fail-safe works properly. If you don't do this you will lose your model should the receiver lose the transmitter signal. In fail-safe mode, you want all the control surfaces to remain at neutral deflection and the electric motor to shut off. That's how I configure my receivers.

Could you just install everything setup all your servos to their respective control surfaces the. Bing so you only have to do it once?

Hey Trevor, i have this same receiver/sat trying to bind with my Dx9. You're using a NiMh battery which is liked 5.5 v ? I don't have knee so i have to use a fully charged 1s ? I've been running pretty through the esc cuz it's for a 6s jet. This doesn't even flash the units. What am i doing wrong? Mick

Hi! I want to know what the B, L and R ports on the receiver do and which ones I should use (SPEKTRUM AR9030T). Because there are 2 satellite connection ports out of the box. Which one should I use for which ports? can you help? In addition, I am using a PIXHAWK HEX cube Black model auto pilot. I will use it manually. I have been told to connect the receiver with the cube from the spkt port on the cube, but I do not know how and where to connect it with the receiver. Can you help?

AFAIK when used with the main one it improves reliability & range - both the main one and the satellite are receiving, so if one loses connection with the transmitter, the other can continue. When weight/size is more important than range & reliability, people can use just the satellite receiver.

@@Vousie Don't you mean you can use just the main receiver on its own?

@@iancole931 No, I did mean satellite. Some people really do use the satellite receiver by itself. Need a flight controller that can decode it though.
