One of my issues when I woke up from my heart surgery/stroke was remembering what I knew from Bible Studies, courses, etc. I had “learned” over my faith journey! I learned to not “lean onto my own understanding “. I came to approach in prayer for God to direct my understanding and prayer! Went much smoother that way!

I have trauma and PTSD from emotional and physical experiences over the last 3 years. When I had a mental break of sorts I surrendered myself back to Christ and set out to study the word. To my devastation, all of the knowledge and comprehension I had gotten from 2 years of ministry school and years of learning, absolutely gone. I started from scratch too! Faith's channel helped me feel confident and accept that starting from scratch was exactly what Jesus needed me to do. And in new study methods too. A whirlwind for sure !

I have a Bible journaling idea. When people send you guys cards, rip off the address of the envelope and glue it on some scrapbook paper and write out a prayer for those people. And glue or tape that in your Bible. Hope this is helpful.

A group of about 50 people in my church met 4 mornings a week for the last 3 months going through a Psalm. It was such a RICH devotional series! A couple of commentaries on the Psalms I really like is called "Exalting Jesus in Psalms" J. Josh Smith and Daniel Akin and Psalms Through the Centuries: A Reception History Commentary on Psalms by Susan Gillingham. While each person who presented a Psalm used a contemplative style to facilitate us through it, they also shared some nougats from their favourite commentary. I had many beautiful moments of fresh revelation this summer but my biggest learning is that God wants us to take our emotions to Him, whatever we feel, He wants to know.

Faith! After watching your videos I had a couple questions! 1) have you read "Inexpressible" by Michael Card? It's ALL about Hesed...highly recommend if you haven't 😉 2) do you use or would you recommend the New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge? It's like a "thought" concordance...I'm enjoying it but finding the nomenclature/symbols/abbreviations to be a little tough to follow/use but I am enjoying it to support Scripture with Scripture. I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on it if you've used it. 3) I literally just wrote in my journal tonight the difference between indicative and imperative (in reference to John 5:39) but still, when you commented on "the use of imperative" I was like 😳 I JUST started taking note of that! So cool. The Psalms study sounds so good! Oh, p.s. I like Boice too 😉...for Advent have you read The Christ of Christmas? The genealogy explanation in there of the difference between Matthew and Luke was totally dog-ear worthy! 😉 (Amongst others but that was really good!)

Wondering if you had any more Bible verses you could list down here in the comments that go along with my Bible. I I did post a video today, September 1, 2023 with some Bible verses that I found but would like to know if you had some you could recommend.

This is kind of random, but it came to mind when you were talking about commentaries, so...maybe somebody needed to hear this. I have a book -- it's not a commentary, per se, but it can be really helpful with a lot of the agricultural metaphors that are in the Psalms and elsewhere -- called Scouting the Divine. I don't know anything else about the author and can't vouch for her in general, but this is really cool because she went and talked with, like, a vineyard owner and a shepherd, etc. and there are a lot of insights in there about things that are easy to overlook in our more urbanized culture.

Love your work and your videos. It is so refreshing to see someone with your energy and love for your faith. Just a minor note, the word “חסד” which you discuss in this video is pronounced with a guttural H, usually transliterated as CH, and the emphasis on the first syllable (CHE-sed, not che-SED). May you continue to bless others and be blessed with your learning and teaching.

Faith ❤ First of all I loooove you! You are amazing and so gracious in the good Lord is so proud of you 🙏 and you are my go-to girly when it comes to any kind of biblical questions that are kind of hard or shall I say really hard for myself to find or understand. I don't have social media and I say that because the questions I want to ask you are probably questions you may not want to answer publicly and if that's so I respect that but I would love the answers from you! 1. In the Bible does it say anything anywhere about aliens? 2. Have you ever had a conspiracy theory of your own that has not only became a theory but true and it biblically resignate or resignate with the things happening in our day today? And 3. Leviathan, who truly is leviathan what is his purpose and is he still on this Earth? And I truly hope these questions make it to you in that you can answer them for me because it is really really heavy on my noggin! And I'm not into any of these things it's just questions that keep popping up in my head and I know that you can answer them! ❤ Again faith I thank you for your time and I pray that you were having an amazing day and that all your troubles that are going on in Life or anyting go away and you keep doing what you're doing because it is amazing and you have earned every feather to your wings I promise you I love you and I love that the good lord loves all of us!

Huge tip to add to your great video on the Psalms would be none other than: Michael Heiser's historic work called. "Unseen Realm" I doubt anyone will read the Psalms in the same way ever again. Michael will be sorely missed, but left a wealth of treasure for the church to unpack... for many years to come.

Hi Faith, I really enjoy your channel I’m a new subscriber, I have a question and I really didn’t know who to ask, well quick synopsis of my faith life till about a couple of years ago I was raised catholic, never owned a Bible till recently. Well my question that has me confused is that if God became man and died on the cross so we may have eternal life, why is there a scripture not verbatim, but no one goes to God but through me Jesus Christ, idk I make sense. But I have always known of the Holy Trinity but I am confused about God came down to earth in human form? Please help me or direct me to where I can find the answer. I bought a study Bible and really want to understand everything about God. Thank you.

I’ve understood “lord” or “Lord” (beginning of sentence) as the deferential address of a superior. LORD is reference to YHWH aka God. See as example 1 Samuel 24. Contrast verse 4 LORD with verse 8 “my lord the king…” v4, he’s referring to God. V8, to Saul. Hope that’s helpful.

Hi, I hope you are well today. The scriptures are about Christ. You need to find the revelation of Christ in the scriptures. Acts 2 vs 22 ( Peter is revealing the scriptures to the men of Israel about Christ), They had eyes but did not see Christ ( Romans 10 vs 1 - 11) , Philippians 3 vs 3-10 (Paul speaks of the zeal he once had but counts it all dung for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ - take note that from the same scriptures he reveals Christ unto them. Hebrews 10 vs 5 - 7, okay I have a lot to say however we are children of the father and he has given us what we need; to know of him (according to John 17 vs 3), John 16 vs 13 - 15. @@lisapitts9518

I have ADHD and doing this type of study actually keeps my attention. Seriously if I'm not doing something like interacting with the scriptures or even at church, I couldn't pay attention long enough to know what he is talking about. My hands has to be busy doing something. Just reading the Bible with Dyslexia is a no go. But doing the coloring and highlighting just helps me to focus and weirdly anchors words down so they just stop jump all over the place. Now my biggest hurdle is spelling and messy handwriting but im over it, so what if all my words are misspelled. My family knows my struggles and so dose my friends. Everyone is different but for me I realy has helped me to cope with ADHD and Dyslexia. I used to be years ago afraid to write anything in my bible because I can't spell and my handwriting horrible. But now I realized I'm rambling....so sorry about that.

Her bible notes and colour's are amazing!!! God does not tell us to critique and judge. If it doesn't work for you, that's fine. But it works for her, someone else, and it would soo work for me! Awesome job on the detailed, colourful and beautiful bible notes!
