    You can actually bend a metal spoon if you make it out of gallium, which has a melting point of about 85 degrees F. Hold it between your fingers and it starts to get soft.

    Another way to perform this trick could be using a special spoon made of gallium. At room temperature it's a solid metal, but it melts at 30°C (86°F).

    What about when they're not touching where the break is? I've seen it done where the person holds the end of the spoon and slowly shakes it. It bends then breaks.

    In the 90s, me and my friend got sent to the headteacher for bending spoons at lunchtime. We'd seen Uri Gellar on the TV on a programme called Beyond Belief the night before. The spoons were really cheap and we could bend them really easily 😂. We thought it was hilarious. The teacher disagreed.

    Thats not spoonbending... Spoonbending is when you bend the spoon around like 2 or 3 times in tight coils. Or get a thick spoon and flatten the spoon part.
