Try making your initial knot a 1.5 knot. Basically, instead of wrapping one side around the other once like a normal starter knot, you wrap it a second time. This gives each string more contact area with the other, which increases friction, and therefore, resistance to being untied. Not nearly as tough as a double knot, but it's 100x easier to undo it on purpose and 10x less likely to come undone by itself. I use this method particularly well with shopping bags that I don't want the contents flying out of on the way home, as well as generally speaking with trash bags and whatnot. I don't use it on shoes, though. Doesn't seem to be compatible with the bunny ears part of tying your shoes, at least not with shoelaces.

The dot indicates the compound of the tire. Yellow means medium compound

If the braided line is tough to cut with scissors. Then it has great abrasion resistance. The spider wire line i use cannot be cut with scissors or a knife. You can only cut it with a new razor blade. its 100lb tensile strength. I only put one knot with star-bond flexible tire glue. 3 months and going strong. It will go bald before the line snaps, lol.

Great to hear, mine lasted a year and only 1 of 8 bands broke because it came untied. SUBSCRIBE!!!

Ever tried using a needle and going through the tread? Thinking about trying it on my stock xmaxx tires.

I thought about doing that but I realized this would be way easier

You think this would hold up with a 6S truck?

My Slash 4X4 is on 6s and they hold up fine. The line has only snapped twice since I put it on. It will definitely hold the same on a stock 6s truck. SUBSCRIBE!!!

Well, most of the them are still in tact. Some have fallen off, maybe 5/8 bands are still on

For all this hassle I would just buy a set of belted tires....I see that line just splitting the tire...doesn't seem like a wise idea

These tires actually are belted, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t still blow when diffing out. I put line on these tires for extra protection against a blowout. And no the line hasn’t split the tire after a year of running them. Thanks for watching! SUBSCRIBE!!!

It's okay to get close to a tv screen but it's most definitely not okay to get your ears close to sounds.
