Am I the only one that, as terrifying it may seem, LOVES public speaking?! Like if I gotta give a speech, I may feel a little anxious at first but then man, it feels so intense and overwhelming like, give me a crowd to speak to, it's all I need.

I've always enjoyed public speaking. I never understood why speeches in class were supposed to be a scary thing - I thrived giving them. Sometimes I was even embarrassed by how much more confident I was compared to my peers because I didn't want to be perceived as a try-hard.

Social anxiety and public speaking are examples I still struggle with today, but every time I watch a Charisma on Command video, I feel like a lot of my issues are not only common, but possible to get over. Like I'm a better speaker now than I was a couple of months ago because of watching these videos. I'm not going to say it is changing my life, but it is absolutely helpful. So for that, thank you. I also want to add that, after watching so many of these videos that vie tips and tricks on how to improve in social interactions, I made my own video listing out helpful and unique tips as well.

PLEASE do a video on Professional Wrestling live mic speaking/crowd psychology (how to work a crowd) It's the same type of stuff your talking about in this video.. would be very interesting to hear you break down a good live wrestling promo vs a bad wrestling promo. You can really hear how the crowd either accepts or rejects them.

Using pauses REALLY works. You hook them because they’re hanging on waiting patiently for more. Kind of like when your crush says they’ll call and you wait eagerly by the phone 😰🙋‍♀️🤦‍♀️

It's also a good tip not to just prepare a speech but to say it aloud many times and revise it so it sounds natural. I've done many PowerPoints this way and it never fails. Start with 5 points and work them out through speaking to yourself.

I remember the election of 2008 very well, I was very politically active during it. I remember at the beginning of Obama's run they often talked about his speech at the Democratic national convention for John Kerry, so you're correct in that this speech was an important flashpoint toward his presidency.

I think it would be awesome if you did a video on professional wrestlers. Charisma is key to their success as they have to connect with a live audience to succeed within the scripted nature of the programming, and there have been multiple instances of a promotion trying and failing to make a star but their chosen performer not having the necessary tools. Some key wrestlers to focus on could be Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes ("Hard Times" is his most famous promo), Roddy Piper, Randy Savage, Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson, Steve Austin, and John Cena. A good example of someone with good charisma but poor tools would be Roman Reigns ("Suffering Succotash" is infamous) or even the aforementioned Dwayne Johnson(coincidentally, Roman Reigns' real life relative), who was given a poor-fitting character called Rocky Maivia when he first started wrestling and fans HATED him despite him now being the biggest actor in the world and loved by almost everyone because of his inherent charisma.

Let's be honest, Elon Musk is not be a good public speaker, but with his skills and achivements and vision, it does not matter, people praise him like a God. You can either sell things by being an amazing public speaker, or if your products are extraordinary then they can even sell themselves without any speaking.

In fact, Barack Obama is an incredible speaker his voice is incredibly engaging. I appreciate your exploration through his speech. The two main points that I agree the most is the pause and be specific. Specify examples is good to show to the audience some scenarios more concretely. Although, It must be well done. I mean, If you lost your speech in the endless example the people will lose their attention, in contrast to what you expected.

Illinoisan born and to this day. I was in Vegas staying at the Mandalay Bay during the 2004 convention. I waited to go out that night just to watch his speech. I remember first seeing his campaign signs shortly after 9/11, and thinking he didn't have a chance with current sentiment at the time. Then there was a shake-up with the Ryan campaign, and he was elected to US Senator. This speech was the first time I'd seen him speak, and on the national stage. I had a feeling then they might start to run him for President after I watched it, and it didn't even take till the next cycle for him to run and win. With all the FUD pushed during his election and presidency, looking back compared to the two he is sandwiched between, I sure miss him as our country's leader.
