Hi Sam, I am 50 years old and have been in this cycle for a few years now. I spend a lot of time planning, a lot of time researching, but barely any time executing. I cannot get myself motivated to take actions. I stumbled on to your KZread channel and I really like what you are sharing. It resonates with me and I am hopeful I can get better at taking actions on my ideas. Good job, I appreciate your content.

13:50 is great advice. In product development, it's called Minimum Viable Product (MVP): What's the minimum we can launch that is useful but not necessarily everything we envision. That way, we're getting something useful in the hands of customers sooner than later that we can learn from, and then iterate on.

I am impressed, I‘m 20, currently at university and there are lots of videos out there which try to tackle this topic. Most of them are full of placements, empty words and people repeating the same things over an over. I like your style, 0 bullshit, straight to the point and you seem to act out what you are proposing. Keep it going your gonna blow up 🚀

Damn dude. Glad I found your channel. I feel like I kinda knew some of this stuff intuitively but when you come right out and say this stuff it diffuses the anxiety for me anyway. I’ve been listening to your vids for about 3 weeks now and I have gotten further on my main project in the past 3 weeks than I have in the past year. I sincerely appreciate your perspective and it really is helpful. Especially for a guy like myself that has severe analysis paralysis. But your right I can’t stay here and I’m not. I was wondering if you could make a short video describing the 30,000 ft view of your work sprint program. How’s it going? What do people like about it? What causes people to stick with it or drop out? Anyway you have yourself a good one!

Your chapter on "playing the small game is better than no game made me think of Atomic Habits. If you just do *something* at least you're on the path of getting better. It's so easy to get lost in the "oh I can't make a million bucks my first year any way, I'm gonna go plan some more." But you should have a base of actually enjoying what you do, not focus on what you want out of it. Which goes well with what you said about focusing on the input rather than the outcome. I release my content because my goal is to create a steady trickle of blog posts and videos. When people start noticing I might streamline and focus on honing my skill in a few areas. But right now I just want to do it for me. The bigger goal is to make money off of it, but I want to do that in a way that makes me happy

Hi Sam, I don't really comment on videos but this right here is just gold. Your principles made so much sense to me that I've written them down on my Notion, and on my notepad and I'm gonna follow it like the bible. This is so good for the people out there who are talented and have it in them, but for various reasons, are not able to take action. It's definitely gonna take some time to embrace all this and to be able to instantly think in terms of the action needed, but I'm sure I'll get there. Thanks Sam!

Massively resonate with the section about being strategic… Always framed it as an advantage that I have over everyone else, but now zooming out and seeing it how it really is, it’s just a high-level excuse for procrastination and overall stagnation. Very well articulated video, great blend of personality and actionable techniques. Thanks mate, liked and subscribed.

When it comes to quitting habits, it is easier to do something else then to not do. So if you're trying to cut out junk foods, it's better to say "I will eat more fruit" then saying "I will not eat junk foods". Ofc it can go south when applied religiously or focused on the wrong things but I've replaced my morning gaming time with 60 minutes of following along a course on drawing.

I feel like it's difficult for a lot of people especially in the US to get a majority of their work done ASAP. So many companies want their employees to get a lot of stuff done towards the end of their shift, or to get important stuff done the entire time you're at work. This leads people to becoming exhausted and burnt out, so they end up relying on cheap dopamine hits no matter what.

  • @GrahamLaight

Outstanding content and very well presented - I gave it a like. So we're left with... just 15 things to focus on! That's too many. You could watch it over and over - but doing that with a 24 minute video will soon start taking a chunk out of the time in which you could be "doing the work". A video for taking notes from rather than one to directly learn from IMO.

This video is very useful... I sort of knew these thing but hearing it from third person helps ... for me the robotic way of working helps alot for emotionally sensitive people like me it requires training but boy does it help. It doesnt mean i shut down my emotions its just not everything requires you full emotional spectrum of thinking .Taking action cured alot of that overthinking to begin with.
