NOTE: Some states have the 30 month extension rule to pass the CPA exam… nasba.org/blog/2023/04/24/nasba-announces-historic-exam-rule-amendment/

The time required to pass the exams has changed in some states. Alabama is now allowing 30 months to pass. It is on their website.

Hey, Hector, your videos are great, thanks for putting in the time. I got my engineering undergrad in Brazil then some years ago I got my MBA at NYU. I'm also a CFA. Which do you think is the shortest path, school-wise, to becoming a CPA? I'm thinking CPA prep is mandatory, but not sure whether, for instance, I need the accounting undergrad. Many thanks.

I have a question Hector. I am on the path to becoming a CPA and will begin sitting for the exam beginning in April next year. I thought about becoming a CFA at one point earlier but I love accounting so much I think I will for sure get my CPA. Is the ABV sub-certification a good alternative to going through the process of becoming a CFA? And are the sub-certifications as hard as the CPA exam?

Oh yeah, is perfect. CPA + PFS + ABV combined are the equivalent of a CFA
