As a reminder, you don't necessarily have to follow these steps in order, but it does help! I was doing leetcode while cleaning up my resume and portfolio concurrently and i still managed to get a SWE job, just don't miss a day and if you do make it short ;).

Great content Cody! Just made a big career transition from the hospitality industry (restaurants) to IT as a SysAdmin with no prior relevant experience. Made a big sacrifice, especially in salary wise with about 30% less income than what I used to make, but loving it so far.

I've been watching a lot of different software developer KZread channels, and I can say that the level of quality and content and production and detail and data on your Ivideos is much further ahead than other KZread channels

Great advise and you’re not making false promises like some. I guess that getting into embedded is really hard without a background in EE as you’ll interact with pieces of electronics. And I’m sure you can learn EE from free resources but getting that work experience is going to be hard without a degree.

🙈 I do want to reiterate that university probably offers the best odds of landing a job as a software engineer, with the bootcamp being the next best. The free route should work too but it will require much more networking and up front proof that you can code.

I don't know that any is especially easy. I had a buddy that was a defense contractor that worked on satellites. Most of his day was spent inside playing games and occasionally checking on the satellite signal. I think he was making $125,000 a year in 2012/2013.

Hello sir I am from Nepal and wants to become a software engineer. How much does it cost to study in USA? My finanical condition is low. Is there any scholarship. Aftet studying CSE from Nepal Can I hire in google or big high tec company in USA.Please reply

I’m unsure what the price is for international students. Tuition can range anywhere from $10,000 - $40,000 a year for US residents depending on the school, with living expenses that can double. Scholarships are dependent on the person so best to check in on those yourself. And anyone can get into Google if they prepare to enough.
