The mentality is I is guess fine, because if a person is in tier 1 college they must have stood at a really great place in mains and advanced and hence they have got far more exposure, better peer group and what not, if they have utilized it well, then they will definitely be given an edge, you will also be preferring a branded thing over a non branded thing if you have enough money to pay for both of them.

let me tell you one thing i am doing bca and i know that there is nothing matters more than your skills. you can opt for any of the degree and i agree that ai ml is not in bca course in my university but it totally depend on the university and how they design the course but if you are interested in programming languages and you're not financially strong to give 3 lakh per year then you should definitely go for bca
