Loved the video and the practical advice, Mill! It's so important to have the right tools when you're starting out. I've been experimenting with boost app social for my social media tasks. It's pretty neat, especially for creating unique reels and stories. Might be a good addition to your toolkit.

I feel called to create content for small local businesses within my community, I have no experience besides helping my schools social media with posting pictures & making flyers in canva for events or announcements. I’m so glad I came across this video !! For me, I don’t feel comfortable with the idea of making my socials public. I’d like to be behind the scenes mostly & my socials to be just for fun, friends/family only. I hardly post anyways & I like my privacy … it’s conflicting bc seems like everyone has to have a social media presence & followers/likes to thrive virtually ?? If that makes sense..

I started the exact same way! I don’t post anything personal or about my life on my personal brand, but it does allow me to attract clients and share all of my knowledge ❤️ just here to help people, I always refer to myself as the most public private person 😉

This is really helpful! You mentioned in another video that most companies should provide the content for you, otherwise you can schedule a 1:1 to determine what kind of content they’d like to create so that we can begin building out their content library. When you volunteered -- did you have to create their content and what platform did you use? Canva?

You will always be creating some content like social graphics! So thats what I did mainly in my early days. I would recommend to use Adobe Express ❤ They have lots of tutorials on KZread as well

Have clients set up 2FA and login on them when you're on a call with them. We have never had any issues.

The more you practice, the better you will get. I used to have a billion discovery calls in one week, but didn't close one. Every "no" will get you closer to the yes. For myself, I like to be honest and transparent, yet confident in what I'm doing for someone. How I sold myself in the beginning is that I will go the extra mile, I'm hungry, so you can trust I will give it my all and learn along the way. There are benefits to having a newer social media manager like lower rates, they will have more time to spend on your account, etc. You get more confident as you go!

Nope! I believe I responded to your other comment. Get familiar with tools like Capcut, Instagram Reels templates, and in-shot for basic to pro video editing. There are SO many tools out there that make your life easier. There's also a huge difference between a video editor and a social media video editor since we like to incorporate trends and videos that perform on social specifically

Any good business owner understands the value of time and how important it is to delegate tasks. That way they can focus on the tasks they either really enjoy or excel in.

Thank you! And that is a common question. It’s possible, but I would never recommend it. It’s similar to making friends without showing your face. Possible? Yes. Ideal? No.

What about if someone starts a digital marketing agency instead of marketing themselves as a personal brand, would showing yourself still be ideal?

@@anonchu it’s the same answer. This is why personal brands usually do much better than company pages because it’s easier to build a connection AND build trust. People need to trust you, who you are, and be able to give you their money to manage their accounts. It’s difficult but a process a lot struggle with in the beginning!
