I just looked her up. She went to Stanford ! , She's Black, She went to STANFORD, She pursued a STEM major in 2004 (Biological Sciences), then she went to Med School, pursued Neurosurgery of all fields, then she became a Chief Resident at Cedars fucking Sinai (one of the best hospitals in the country). She has a kid and probably a crazy schedule. When people give excuses as to what held them back, I understand, but I don't. Look at the video, she says that she did fail along the way, but doesn't take no for an answer. U can achieve anything you want, anything. !

Thanks for posting Dr. Webb! I am an aspiring neurosurgeon and was waiting for more neuro content. People always try to use the length of practice required to become a neurosurgeon and the fact that I am non-traditional (26 years old) to deter me, but like she said; it requires a lot of patience. To me my dream is worth 13 more years of school + residency. Hell, if it took me 20 I'd still go for it.

My uncle is a now retired Airforce Colonel and Cardiothoracic surgeon and he was my hero for a long time as a kid. I wanted to be a doctor for sure when I was a kid, I later went on to become and engineer but my point is that I thank you for providing young folks a platform where they can see people that look like them doing what may have been told to them that was impossible for them to achieve. So I salute you and Dr. Ross for showing us that you can do anything you put your mind to! As usual, be well, be safe and Peace & Blessings

Hi. I’m debating between Neuropsychology (PhD) and Neurology (MD/OD). I did not prepare my whole life for this. I did not no this is something I wanted until recently. I will actually start my MSc in Cognition and Neuroscience next semester. I’m hoping this degree will help me decide. Is it too late for me? I’m 23-24 with a BS in Speech and Language Pathology. (Not necessarily surgery, just neurology in general)

Bro, pleas take a moment to hear my situation. Living here in San Antonio, had partial discectomy and party lamenectomy at l5, s1 with a 4.6 Cm herniated disc. Now I have issues at c,3 to c5.same here it's herniated again. Should I lose weight and strengthen my core and buttocks before having my second round of surgery, so at least I would have developed muscle memory? Are there such things as artificial discs? I have to take a benzo that is medically necessary, and I'm in so much effin pain, I can't sleep. Would you take a peek at my Case and give me some advise on what to do? Im only 29 from Sam Antonio. First pain Dr just pumped me full of drugs for years. Finally had surgery and everything was great, then it hit me again in two spots. My mom is going through chemo and I can empathize the unbearable feeling of un-escapable pain. I'm so full of life, hope and dreams, but it the first pain doctor 3 years to recommend my for surgery for a 4.6 CM herniation at l4-s1. Use me as a case study anonymously. Others shouldnt suffer as I said.
