    I'm abit late..but I would like to know if you have to first finish off your LLB to do the main thing you want to study. For example criminal law to become a defence lawyer.

    Heyy, sorry I might have missed it but, is it possible to start LLB from the first year and not jump into 3rd year after the doing bachelor of arts of social science. Or is that the best way

    Hey Asanda , but are lawyers required in sa , please be honest . Cause I was doing a lot of research on skills that are highly in demand , and with lawyers I didn't get enough info 😭..

    One cannot necessarily say a certain professional is needed in SA because of the very high unemployment rate. There are many law graduates and admitted attorneys who cannot find employment. However, law is different in the sense that if employment doesn’t happen you can open a practise to work on your own account. So if you asking this because you want to choose a career I’d say go for a career that allows you to open your own practise or business after attaining that qualification.

    Idk if I’m about to make sense but I hope you get me lol 🤣😭 I’m a first year BA Humanities student but my university doesn’t necessarily allow one to major in modules from other faculties (law module for example) but my majors are psychology and political science of which I think political science is also an elective for mainstream law (correct me if I’m wrong) I wanna ask if with this degree, after graduating, am I gonna have to enroll into a 3 year LLB degree or 2 years? And also, does it matter what BA degree you have because I low-key want to switch to BA industrial psychology but I’m not certain if would I be allowed to enroll into LLB after.

    Hi Mbaly. It depends on each university, at my time you had to have done some law modules during your BA, if you don’t you must have changed your degree at 2nd year and went straight to LLB. This is different in every university so please enquire with the law college at your university

    Hi. Read the legal practice act of 2014 and what it says about admission in the high Court. Last time I checked it only allows one to be an admitted attorney or advocate if they graduate from a public university, and Boston is private. But if you don't want to be admitted the choice is yours.

    How to become an advocate

  • @asandantini

    @asandantini

    Жыл бұрын

    You do an LLB You do an application to a bar of advocates that you want to join, usually there’s an entrance exam that you must do and pass. You then become a pupil advocate for 1 year without pay (but there is funding you can apply for), this when you get practical training Thereafter write a bar exam of about 5 exams, pass, do an application in Court and then decide what you want to do with your new title
