30k to 50k starting salary - No way. Even with a good portfolio, with no work experience you are fresher only. Freshers get paid 15k to 20k a month. It highly depends on the college/institution where you are getting degree from, type of course, portfolio, city you stay in, type of company(MNC, startup) etc. Graphic designers are highly underpaid and also in freelancing you need to be very good in communicating your value or else you will get cheap clients( in beginning you will actually) and sometimes not even get paid.

The average salary of a fresh year in India is just between 10-15 k even if it's a design industry or any other. But as a freelance motion designer I'm getting more than 350$ paid for a single project it only takes one week to finish one project 😅, it's all about the way that we use our skills to convert it to cash.

I started learning thumbnail making from std 10 for various gaming channels ,3years since before ,at start It was rubbish cringe, but after 1 year I started analysing designs ,objects position ,fonts colour grading and now I'm a professional logo maker ,so you can also do ,it's very easy ,just you need to have a sense of designing

You are right that AI in the future gonna take the position of our graphic designers but also there are a lot of things that AI can't do and only humans can do, putting emotion into that logo and in any design and having a conversation with the client is only human can understand
