You said online MA psychology is not valid for becoming counseling psychologist but distance learning is valid. is it due to some internship program, which makes distance learning different. You need atleast a masters degree to practice as a counselling psychologist. Alot of people go on to do a PHD but it's not necessary

You can practice as a counsellor after your masters as there are no licensing boards for counselling but if you are practicing as a school psychologist you should do a PG Diploma in guidance and counselling and schools require it.

@@samhitha5002 HI Samhitha, thanks for your comment. If you have done your graduation in psychology you will find a lot of repetition at the master's level. You will have to do an internship under a psychologist to be trained for the job market.
