Lavender concealer is for cancelling yellow tones, for example from bruises or yellow discoloration, purple is opposite to yellow on color wheel, it would probably also work with light orange. ;)

the lavender concealer is to camouflage redness in the skin. they each are for different imperfections. you will learn that in the classes. refer to the color wheels.

Lavender or Lilac color corrector is typically used to neutralize yellowness and sallow skin tones. It evens out warmer spots within the skintone.

You lucked up on that make up kit I don’t get the exact same products I got some chines brand stuff like the concealer pallets and the lip pallet prim make up and their brand eyeshadow I didn’t get the eyeshadow pallet from smash box but urban decay didn’t get any color correctors but I still got a pretty good amount of high end makeup

You are correct about learning to do makeup application on people with different skin tones. I'm sure once I become certified I will have dark skinned people and being white I need that information. Matching skintones being most important. You can't get that wrong. I would also think color correcting is vital too and I have no clue how to do this on beautiful brown skin. QUESTION: Do you need to register for the essential course first or can you register for the pro course and still get the basic information? Thanks

I signed up for the advanced course and it didn’t come with any makeup kit. Very thankful I already have a lot of the makeup to start with

hey girl, i totally get the diversity thing. i am a cosmetologist. and man i can remember being in beauty school and learning all the basics. when they had some of us team up in groups in some of our on-floor training i remember begging the black girls to let me do them and play with their hair. i want to know as a professional how to work with all skin and hair types. if you are an artist you want to know your colors and bases. that's the joy in any type of artistry. weather its in the beauty industry or fashion, or painting. color is important when you are learning.
