Filmmaking discussions on KZread tend to focus on the more fun parts of the process- FPV drones, transitions, etc. This video dives into a few less-exciting but incredibly important areas of filmmaking (composition, lighting, editing, and sound design).

I have definitely been focusing more on sound design, obviously I'm still learning, but i see the benefit and the depth that it brings to video/film. Composition is another thing I'm trying to get better at, thanks for the tips.

Glad this could help out!
Your story telling way is one of the best thing in your video
I love that little Gerald Undone cameo in there!
Bro, the amount of work that went into this video (and in everyone of them)!!!! Setting up for multiple angles, the prep for the talking heads... Appreciate the grind man. Absolutely inspirational.
Outro-intro sequence with sound design is mind-blowing
Holy cow Aidin, u'r BULKING my man.
These tips are gold! Definitely agree with all of these, especially in the outro when you said that filmmaking as a craft is all of those elements coming together and working towards a concept. Thanks for sharing this video! Love the vlog/tutorial style of you hiking!
Such useful and practical advice! How you present seemingly intimidating stuff makes it more approachable and doable, and just pumps us up to keep creating better content. Thank you!
Thank you again, Aidin! These videos are always amazing and awesome audibly and visually. Hope you had a good time shooting this, buddy!
You're going to earn yourself millions of subscribers with this consistent quality, brother. Keep it up. Thanks for inspiring me to level up my filmmaking.
Aidin: You have no idea how much the deconstructed explanations of your creative content, workflow, and process have helped me grow from when I started as a noob trying to document my bicycle trips, to where I am in one year. While I'm very happy with my progress, but I have a great deal to learn along the road of developing those skills in the complex craft we call filmmaking. While equipment, time, and financial restraints hold some growth back, it also forces me to concentrate on other things that are more important, rather than getting caught up with "too much too soon" Thank you for giving all of us insight into your great work. One episode that has really stuck with me, was your PNW film, followed up by the sound editing. Thanks again.
Love this type (how you set camera up, why you compose in such a way, dealing with natural lighting etc)
Great tips as always 👌🏻
Some great tips here Aidin! Always stoked for your tutorial videos 🤙

Great video, as always 😊 As for the backlight, I wouldn't have the sun straight behind you but a bit to the side. In my opinion that creates a way more pleasing shadow and a more natural looking image all around
Top notch 💯👍
Color grading as it best! 👍🏻 and the shots as well! 😊
