Your guide seriously helped, alas I don't have a leveled Kearsarge, nor Unzen yet, I need too. So instead, my fleet was, Agir, Shimakaze, and Plymouth for the vanguard, and Bismarck Zwei (flagship) Hakuryuu, and Implacable. Been grinding this god forsaken challenge fight for the past 30 minutes. I got a clear time of 8:16 should not have procrastinated till last minute lol

Good job! I wanted to try other characters, but this was just the best fleet I found the fastest. I also grind the challenges on day 1 to get it over with, but more importantly, to get the video footage.

I liked Vanguard in this battle. Since her ability automatically procs when she loads her guns, if you give her guns with 20 sec CD (i.e. Champagne/Flandre guns) she'll proc them pretty much every time Warspite begins to charge her ability, giving you some wiggle room in case you screw up torps. Overall a solid battle and proves that whoever designed Helena battle was fired.

Thanks for the guide! I'll need to play around with builds. My Kearsarge isn't Dev lv 30 yet, so I'm short in various ways. And I'm lacking in normal options like Shinano, Vanguard, and Musashi that I see other people use a lot. Got Warspite 50% HP after 4 mins, but Kearsarge and Unzen were critically low on HP after that and sunk later. Maybe I'll need to build the UR DD gun for Shimakaze too, just using a Baguette gun right now.

Well I'm glad it helped! I heavily recommend getting the UR DD gun for Shimakaze, as it provides huge HE damage and a fast fire rate to proc her all-out assault, so overall, a great investment.

Thanks for the guide. Thought I wouldn't get this down until I noticed a good pattern for clearing warspite's shots. Because before that, my kearsarge was slowly being shot at by warspite. I thought the surefire shot was the main issue from that but it wasn't. That was just another shot outside of her main guns. Gonna run through what I learned despite you might have already explain on video. The pattern I noticed was that she usually fires her main guns three times then the surefire shot comes through. If you can time it perfectly, you can cancel out the first two shots then cancel the 4th shot/surefire shot. That way you can clear all 4 main guns. And if the screen effect bothers you or cause mistiming, use your main gun after her surefire shot is canceled. This was initially what I sought after when you told me on the video, but I kept failing to see it until I played half way through hard difficulty. The surefire shot slowly moves ahead, ie it slowly gets ahead of her main guns. If you can beat her before it misaligns, then you got nothing to worry about. Hope anyone else who reads this offer further assistance. Completion time is 6:35 for me. I'll chalk it to mostly +10 equips.

Good guide. Manual certainly does make it go faster and the CV's help mitigate backline damage. Not the composition I used myself as I prefer Auto runs, but it is certainly a good strat.

Thank you! I also prefer auto runs, but at least you only have to do the challenge mode boss once a month, and for bosses with very specific mechanics like these, you have to battle manually.

For example, I completed this challenge on Auto using a full BB backline, but it took me over 7 minutes and I was more rng base as I ran my BB's with a Full Evasion setup. Ran the challenge multiple times and was 50/50 for completing or failing. Backline was : Biscuit II, Musashi, UVH (All level 125, oathed, max affection) Frontline was: Agir, Shimakaze, Roon (All level 125, oathed, max affection) Equpment: Backline: (Both Bisc II and Musashi) Proto Twin 457 Rainbow +13, Proto 155 Kai +10, Twin 134mm AA (Time Fuze) +13, Steering Gear +13, SG Radar +13, Officer Sword +10 (Ulrich Van Hutten) Triple 460 UR +13, everything else same as Biscuit and Mofusashi Frontline: Agir - B-50 Triple 305 +10, 533 Quint UR +13, Twin 134 AA +13, Steering Gear +13, Battle Tracto Max +13, Greatsword +10 Shimakaze - 120mm QF +7, Quint 610 UR +13, Twin 134 AA +13, Type 93 Oxy +13, Type 93 Oxy +10, Hammer +10 Roon - Proto Triple 234 UR +13, Quint 533 UR +13, Twin 134 AA +13, Steering Gear +13, Dynamic Cannon +13, Greatsword +10 As you can tell, I just brute forced my way through and even then, out of 4 playthroughs, I won the first time, lost twice and won the fourth time, so running 50/50 win/loss. This isn't counting the Tech boosts either (really too lazy to add those in). It would seem that with this setup, Musashi (+10 RLD from tech) fires at about the timing to be the primary target of Warspites counter attack. Followed by UVH and, rarely, Bismarck Zwei. The main issue with auto run is the Vanguard. Most of the time the Backline will keep disabling the Darkness ability, but with just natural reload timing there is about 3 or 4 times that the Vanguard needs to diable it and they generally tend to be WAY out of position to do so, although the timing for the torps is generally good, just wasted.

Thanks for the guide. Beat it using IJN UR carriers with Implac, Yukikaze w/ pearls tears tank, kazagumo and shimakaze. Chose to use yukikaze as tank for her backline damage reduction skill, but probably not the most ideal tank...

Interesting strat. I think Yukikaze is really good for her evasion and damage reduction chance, but my luck is horrible so I try not to rely on rng skills.

Thanks was able to do it with musashi as replacement for Kearsarge really tight tho finished with like 5% HP Time 6:30

I've gotten this before, Azur Lane is the first time I've seen the word "Implacable", and that is just how I thought it was pronounced, but I will look it up for the next video.

Interesting. I've never heard the word Implacable before Azur Lane, so that's just how it sounded in my head, and I don't think I've ever used Sagittarius before either.
