It's a moot point by with the "hang from 100 feet by 1 hand for 5 seconds" challenge, you'd definitely want to hang from the upper bar of the crane/scaffolding. Even if you were to hang from the bottom bar successfully, you'll have a helluva time getting yourself back up safely. If you go from the top bar, you can easily get your other arm or legs back in action regardless of completing the challenge. Actually, I have about a dozen ways to complete the other challenges, though time constraints could provide a little extra difficulty.

An easy way around the way Nerve removes the money from the losing players accounts, is to just go to an ATM and remove the $100+ every time you get awarded it. If it is a large amount like the $2500, go directly to the bank and withdraw it. If the bank asks where you are getting the money (for whatever reason), just say that you are a Twitch streamer. Then just hide it somewhere in your home. Like in a box and then put it in the wall in your closet behind a shelf and a lot of clothes.

Doesn't work. Money transfers of certain types can be reversed, and is a common type of scam. They'll transfer 1000$ to your account, let you withraw is, then remove it. Afterwards they say there was an error and that you need to send 500$ of it back before they can restore it to your account. Of course, they never put it back. They just pocket the money.

The issue would be appstores and legality. App stores would never allow something life threatening on them, especially once media caught wind. Not to mention any encouragement of illegal activities would get it shut down and owners sued. A Nerve Lite could be possible, where all dares are curated in order to be legal and safe, but would obviously not catch on as well as a more "risky" version would.

Something to note: Nerve seems to be at least somewhat related to the dark web, which is actually impossible due to how the dark web works. Live streaming video takes a LOT of a bandwidth, and due to the multiple precautions dark web browsers take to protect their users makes livestreams practically impossible. Imagine connecting to 10 VPNs on your computer at the same time. It will tank your internet speed so hard that any kind of live video streaming is impossible. This means that either Nerve is incredibly public and on the surface web (which makes it piss easy to expose to cops via an anonymous tip that just contains the link) or it is impossible for it to be streamed.

@@coledibiase5971 I think you misunderstand. It’s not that dark web browsers aren’t good or have no funding, it’s that those features to mask your identity are there for a good reason. If a Nerve specific browser/program lacked things like IP masking to make it able to stream videos live, it would be hugely unsafe and a hazard to its users, ESPECIALLY considering the lethal nature of the dares. It’s kinda glossed over in the movie, but searching for, paying, and viewing what amounts to live snuff films is highly illegal and will land viewers in prison if they do not conceal their identity properly. It’s a catch 22, if you want livestreams, you have to give up a lot of security, but if you give up security you are highly likely to be arrested, making security a requirement.

Honestly, it would be much more interesting if they used technicallities to get out of the situation: it would be more engaging movie as you also would try to guess possible solutions. That's why I like Taskmaster game show (NZ version was very good). Player stick to the letter, ignoring the spirit, are the most interesting to watch. For example, in current season of Kongen Befaler (Norway version of the show) Kristine loves finding creative solutions. And show, not being a movie about death game, has very tame tasks.
