@@gorb2798 I needed about 10 attempts to kill nkg for the first time but only three for abs RAD. But that doesn't really mean anything, people have individual problems with bosses that others haven't, it mostly depends on playstyle and mentality.

@@gorb2798 oh poor gorb But seriously, In my case it's even worse, I got to her 3 times in a row(on my 4th attempt at the pantheon) and the last 2 times I got to her last phase, one HITLESS, but I got RNG so bad during the orb and her teleporting, it was impossible, and, even then, I managed to deal around 400 dmg, and i still got hit after getting the last hit(the one that ends the battle)

I died like 8 or 9 times in a row in platdorm phase of normal radiance xd

Something strange happened, I had finally done what I believed to be impossible for me and beat the radiance... And was transported to a new arena. One of pure darkness... Then a light loomed over a new creatures to fight .. a primal aspid. In real life, I let out a terrified shriek, knowing there was nothing I could do. This being of pure, unfiltered evil was going to utterly destroy me. Give me more trouble than even Nightmare king Grimm. Needless to say I only lasted 10 seconds at best. I still wake up at night in a cold sweat from having nightmares of that... *Thing.*

I beat the absolute radiance in 546 attempts. 278 got past phase 1. 6 Got to the laser climb. 2 got to the top. 1 Beat the absolute radiance radiant mode. I used Longnail, Quick Slash, Unbreakable Strength, Shaman Stone, And Spell Twister.

An Existing Person If you have quick slash and unbreakable strength, you can go on top of the radiance when she’s on a platform and spam your nail upwards and it takes out like 3/4 of her health on phase 2.

After 2 weeks of trying PoH, I finally reached Absolute Radiance. As expected, I was get rekted in less than a min 😂. Still I'm happy to unlocked AR to practice her in Hall of Gods.

@@plugshirt1684 Really?? Sweet!! It only took me like 10 tries to defeat normal Rad so with a little more practice I should get the hang of her! :D

My personal strat for phase 4 is to always stay on the bottom most platform and don't move, don't go for the Radience, prioritize dodging more than hitting. Only hit Radience when she's on you or on the platforms next to you. When she's above you, it's a great time to spam but really remember to dodge any attacks. Damaging Radience comes second, defense always comes first. If she uses lazers or the 12 swords attack when she's on you just do decending dark. If you're in a position where you know for a fact that you can't avoid the attack, then try to jump in the bottomless pit. It's a better option as it only does one mask of damage compared to the Radience's two.

I'm doing it on radiant mode so the last piece of advice is extremely helpful

This has helped a lot, thanks! Also, turning down the music and brightness helps a lot too. Turning down the music helps you hear the audio cues for the Radiance's attacks, while turning the brightness down helps see those darn balls of light. Hope this was helpful for someone!

This is definitely going to help. Thank you Also at 4:01 you become absolute Relyea Also another tip is in phase 1-3 you can use the ground spikes to take 1 damage instead of 2 from an attack, same works for jumping into the abyss after stage 3

It was particularly cruel of team cherry to have you get to the absolute radiance only to have him inevitably kill you so you can then spend hours and hours practising on him before finally having the privilege of facing him for real

I’m watching his videos for the same reason! He’s not perfect and intimidating, but he is great at the game, and excellent at explaining the techniques.

I watched this video after beating PV in P5. It not only helped remind me of what to do, but calmed my nerves enough to not make me run into every attack. And I beat it!

Your videos are actually super helpful, I was trying to get a single W on radiance for hours, and just after watching your video I already beat her thrice. Gonna keep practicing a bit more, especially the climb and the part before it, and then see if I can get P5. For me one of the bottlenecks was the climb, I was just trying to rush it every time, but I discovered that it's better to jump in sync with the lasers. And your tip of jumping up and _then_ correcting your position was really helpful

I was just trying to beat regular Radiance but these tips helped a lot. Still took a few tries but finally got it. I'd definitely been sleeping on quick slash, too. Thanks!

You can do it. After reaching PV 2 times and choked really hard. I got really demotivated. It took me 2 weeks trying PoH and unlocked AR. I always said that i'm gonna quit this game after losing my run and after a couple of hours I'll open my switch again to try PoH haha

Thanks for this video, Relyea. I must've failed to Absolute Radiance at least 50 times and I could never get past the laser climb and the final phase. You were right when you said stay calm during the orb spam and just let her come to you. It's just a game of patience and waiting for an opening. Now I've finally conquered the Pantheon of Hallownest! Charms I used: Grubsong, Shape of Unn, Quick Focus, Longnail and Unbreakable Strength.

Thanks man, after like a year I finally built up the courage to attempt pantheon 5, and this is the only boss I'm really having trouble with, so this was really helpful

For the full screen vertical beam, I suggest to dodge it as early as you can. Otherwise, Radiance will use other attack (say toothpicks rain) when the beam is still coming. You'll then found out it's too hard to dodge two attacks at the same time. ------ In the fourth phase, I think the reason why standing on the lowest platform is there's much more platforms around you, and it is easier to lead the homing bullet to crush on them, while you just have the standing one if you are on the highest platform.

If you're dealing with multiple overlapping attacks, descending dark can be a lifesaver. You can also jump off the arena and only take 1 damage.

@@beri4138 Those are useful in normal play, but, I was practicing hard for all binding play those time. Every hp and soul had to be kept for the very extreme situation. I believe my advice I made can be applied to both binding play or normal play. So, why not keep it in mind to get more space or time to dodge attacks? ======== Hope I’m giving right suggestion after I’ve put HK down for years.

Absolute doesn't feel that much harder than regular to me. It's a little faster but other than that it's the same fight.

thank you for this tutorial, i was going nowhere fast on some of her final phases, it helped me calm down and strategize better

i ofund relyea on the hk wiki back when i was stuck on dung defender on my first playthrough (im on my 4th playthrough now) and since then i never miss one of his uploads, he has helped me through so much of the game and this video finally convinced me to retry absolute radiance and i finally beat her. thank you for everything relyea and keep up the good work :)

I needed this video just about when it released, I think that was the time I was grinding for absrad and p5 completion. Knowing it's here, I might just get back to grinding, though getting back into the groove of the game could be rough. There's some great tips here that I didn't see back then, so thanks for putting this together!

Once I get back into Hollow Knight (Ive been on a very long break from the game) I'll have to try this, Thanks Relyea!

Great video! The strategy that's been working for me as I attempted Radiant difficulty is to farm as much soul as possible and use it all in the second phase so as to do damage no matter where Radiance reappears.

The key is patience. Both Markoth and AbsRad (in the 4th and 6th phases) will shred you like Swiss cheese if you try to rush towards them for extra damage. The key to the fights is to try to stay in one general area while dodging the attacks (With AbsRad stay on the bottom platform), though Markoth might force you to shift locations every once in a while.

I am a completionist type person with games, so I went through and beat every boss in the hall of gods on radiant after I beat the 5th pantheon. Somehow, Markoth on Radiant took me longer to master than the absolute radiance on radiant. So, I agree! Markoth on radiant is just brutal, especially if you jump away from one of his daggers only for another one to spawn right under you! I will never attempt to beat Markoth on radiant again

I finally got back into hollow knight and made it to radiance. I'm good at beating pure vessle, and I've done nightmare grimm radiant so I quite good at him. I've been having alot of trouble with radiance though. But I searched up tips on absolute radiance, and you were the first video that showed up. Thanks.

I lasted 45 seconds at the last phase! Thanks for the tips - they’re really helpful 🎉🎉🎉

One thing I did differently was try to get good enough to only use 2 Abyss Shrieks for phase 2. The extra soul from one saved spell as well as the extra hits your nail has to do really gives you a lot of soul for phase 4 where your desolate dives and abyss shrieks will make that phase go by much quicker.

Today, thanks to your video, I finally beat the last pantheon, thank you so much for doing this tutorial!!

I'm usually a Quick learner but this seems to be much harder to get down, especially the Flying orbs of light, which you Dodge very precisely, THX for the response!

Ive been stuck on this boss my a while now after seeing this video a few trys later i beat the boss 2 times in a row thank you

not going to lie, it is hard to play and talk about what I'm doing at the same time. Means I make some mistakes. That is ok though, mistakes are just learning opportunities.

I failed countless times in this boss, I have just seen your video, I defeat it at the first attempt. I didn't expect that to work so well

I did it, finally!!! After like a week of practise, a horrible pantheon run up till Pure Vessel and somehow perfecting him I then beat Absolute Radiance. Used Quick Slash, Unbreakable Strength, Shaman Stone and Long nail throughout. Thank you Relyea for this guide it was really helpful man :) See you guys for Silksong

Today, I have beaten P5, third time beating Abs Rad, this video did help with the abyss shrieks during the floor spike round and stuff.
