When this"frustrating" press really kicks in, wide players will also be marked. My wingers are so wide that they sometimes literally go out of the pitch, but when the game decides to mark them, they are too fully marked. I am also strugglingg with one of my defenders always breaking the defensive line and playing the opponent on side. These are usually full backs who, for some reason, suddenly drop back, although they are not even close to the ball. Pressing the offside traps sometimes helps but very risky

Been saying this since day 1. This year, put Lauren Hemp on the left wing, she has that cross+ trait that is unreal and make sure your right striker can head the ball preferably with Power Header+ (Lewandowski) or Arial+ (Klose). You literally go from RB -> LW -> ST. This works even better if your LB has the Long Ball+ trait (Kimmich/Trent) but if you want a faster defender Carlos Alberto/Lahm will do it well.

I dont like this tactics. It doesnt work. No options in the middle whatsoever, no options only in the wide areas. It is good to score a goal at the start of the game but if your opponent realises it, then you are doomed. He will know what you are up to afterwards, and he just change to a wide formation, this tactics will be useless straight away. For me the good old 4-3-3(2) or (4) is the way to go with possession(for me). Straight away counters 4-4-2, 4-2-2-2, 4-3-2-1,71 depth the META basically. Because with 4-3-3 you will have plenty of support in the wide areas and in the middle too, and still the top youtubers using 4-3-2-1 sweaty 71 depth cutbacks nonsense which is the META which kills the game. If you want to be free from that, 4-3-3(2) or 4-3-3(4) and just play it and play it until you get used to it then GG you will find yourself in DIV 2 where other stuffs will comes into play like skill moves, marking passing lanes manually and etc. After div 2 71 depth doesnt matter anymore. Because you should know at that point how to exploit that, by watching this video, watching more youtube videos and for ffs try and play in 4-3-3(2). No custom tactics needed. Everyone on balanced. Just try it out, play it and you will know what depth, what width and what custom tactics you needed which suits your playstyle, your players you have. Use 50-50 everywhere and use balanced on evreything for first, then lose some games in DIV rivals, get used to the formation, to your players you have then you can change the tactics to your own then start winning. Trust me. Ohh if for some reason you are a s....r for the 4-4-2 formation then do the same as i mentioned above. Eveything on balanced, 50-50, everyone on balanced, go lose some games its fine, get used to the formation and then in game start thinking like "hmmm my strikers just standing still. Use get in behind". "My strikers are in the middle i want one of them in the wings for more passing option, use drift wide on one of them." Easy as like this.
