It's a difficult balance that takes a lot of practice. Use the camera in short bursts and keep Foxy and Freddy locked in place. Don't leave a light on for more than a second and pay attention to when Bonnie and Chica leave. Once you get to about 3-7%, depending on where Foxy is, you can just idle and wait to run out.

FNAF 1 is honestly my favorite out of all the games even if it's simpler and more plain, I just love the first batch of animatronics especially Freddy and Bonnie, Bonnie is creepy and freddy is a mixture of creepy ambience and silence. I don't really know how to exactly explain him just yet but he's just such a menace, He doesn't even have to leave the stage or jumpscare you at all to be creepy and have that ambience and aura spiraling around him, I remember there was a picture/poster that had him looking back at you and he looked like such a menace.

I'm glad _someone_ knows that foxy doesn't need you to look directly at him, looking at any camera will stop him, I feel like most other KZreadrs I've seen get this wrong This video was very helpful, I don't think I'll use this strategy the whole night as my main problem is power and this is quite monotonous to do

Idk if it was due to a recent patch or something but I used this strategy and Foxy did kill me (around 3 and 4 am) :( So probably no the case anymore D:

@@xxmoonspellxx1801 there is no way the game was patched recently It's almost 9 years old and I'm not sure a game made with clickteam even can be updated You probably weren't using the cameras enough

Foxy has another interesting little mechanic that you aren't warned about. If he runs down the hall and bangs on the door, he drains some of your power. And the more times this happens, the more power he takes away. The first time he beats on the door, it only takes around 1%-5%. That's not so bad; You can recover from it. The second time, and every time after that? As much as 20%-25% power lost, if you're super unlucky. That pretty much means Game Over. So yeah, it's definitely smart to keep Foxy from running at the door in the first place.

You're right, but it has nothing to do with luck. The first time Foxy hits the door, it drains 1% power. After that, each subsequent hit drains an additional 5% on top of that. Second hit is 6%, third is 11%, fourth is 16%, etc. Definitely important to keep him from running more than twice at the most.

@@cmillspa1 same thing happened to me but on night 4 since bonnie is glitched for my phone on night 5 and teleports into your office, I also noticed that my game loses all sound on night 5. The Android version is really glitchy.

I was revisiting my old FNAF phase and got to this night(almost beat it first time, didn't know to keep on east camera and freddy certainly got me...) but doing this guide actually helped me! Yo Ambience! Thank u very much for this tutorial! I was stuck on night 4 for like a week and I was doing the light, light, cams strat and always got 5 am at 3% power and died on the outage. I honestly wanted to give up but I saw this tutorial, used ur strat and FINALLY got it over with. On to night 5!

I commented on your night three video about me getting through night three and I’m happy to say I beat night four first try, I followed the strategy and made it through no problem, there was one time where Chica was at the door for a long time then as soon as she left, Bonnie was there as well, there was even a time where both Bonnie and Chica were both at the doors at the same time, when they were I went off the strategy scared to loose a lot of power and Freddy moved to the dining area, but it was still a breeze, o sweated probably a lot, and somewhere at 5% power I sat doing nothing knowing foxy was in his second stage I think(when he is peeking out Pirates Cove)and at 0% percent power right before the lights would’ve turned off I got to 6 am, this was very helpful for making me confident to try and beat the whole game, thank you for this, your channel is WAY to underrated.

The best thing is not to look at the cameras too much and one good thing is that no matter what camera you are on it always counts as if you were watching Foxy's, that trick helped me a lot! At 4 a.m. I did get nervous because Bonnie moved and I closed the door since I was afraid that she would get in me while I watched the rest, but in the end I did thanks to you.

I beat night 4 using the flip camera thing and checking doors - it 100% locked foxy and freddy in place, so i only had to focus on using the lights to see if bonnie or chica were at the doors! Thank you SO much 😁😁😁😁

I saw this guide, and I still can't get past this night. I don't even know what I'm doing wrong. I'm not even kidding, when I say that one attempt, Foxy was already on stage 3 right off the bat, getting ready to leave pirate cove, and I instantly closed the door and I got so close to 6AM when the power went out but I still couldn't do it.

Your strategy is incredible and awesome, the animatronics could catch me when I use the steps: camara, light, camara, light, camara. That's good. Thank you.

BRO THIS GUY IS MAD UNDERRATED, this is the best fnaf walkthrough youtuber, truly the king of fnaf when it comes to teaching

you mentioned ppl who played in 2014 and haven't beaten 4/20 mode. i wanted to say i watched markiplier's entire playthrough of this game the day of each video's release, prompting me to buy the game back then, mostly to support scott, but i also wanted to try it for myself. i never finished the game because my child brain didn't fully understand the mechanics and i wasn't all that motivated to finish it, having seen all of markiplier's original playthrough. since then i mostly haven't really thought about it so i still have yet to finish the original game, but i picked it up again to finish it before the movie releases this year. your videos have been very instructional and for the first time i have full confidence that i can beat the game. i've kept up with all the games since and of the ones i've played, my top 3 in order are pizzeria sim, fnaf1, and sister location (the vr port, which scott will probably have taken down when help wanted 2 releases, makes the experience much better)

this works on mobile too. You do have to have pretty fast reflexes and your power will get low, but don't worry by that time you will probably get the victory.

Almost made it with this strategy, due to chica's hungry glare through the right window, if it wasn't for that power loss i'd have made it. Great explanation and strategy, thank you.

A few things to say: 1. I play on mobile, so it’s faster to do both lights while the the camera can’t be used (The cooldown is longer). 2. The power seems to drain faster, as at 2AM with the best RNG I’ve had yet (Only Bonnie attacking for one second the entire night) I had less than 60% power. Because of this, I die to the power outage every time it hits 5AM. 3. You are the best FNAF teacher I could find, and that’s saying a lot because I’ve searched through dozens of channels and videos.

Also a mobile player. Power management takes a little more strategy on mobile, you can’t camera spam as well as on PC. But with practice you should be able to consistently beat even 4/20 without losing power, even if you’re at 0-1%

Thank you it is helping but I forgot to check the lights so bonnie got me at one part I was focussing at the cams because freddy moved even though I still was checking all cams fast as possible lol

Freddy has a set pattern and is very easy to understand. You can tell if he moves by listening for his laughter. Each laugh is one movement, and he always follows a strict pattern. He always goes 1A > 1B > 7 > 6 > 4A > 4B. If he moves once, just go to 1B instead of 1A. You shouldn't be on the cameras for more than a brief second, and this is a great way to track Freddy.

I was doing another strategy and was not able to pass, plus i reviewed some guides and only confused me more but this video explained it very well and is much easier

brooo i tried to beat this night FOR HALF AN YEAR, i tried this once and i instantly beat it! tysm!!!

I feel like it’s a bit harder on Laptop, Computer, Or Pc because you have to use the mouse to do almost everything while on the PS the controls are a bit easier

essentially a device with a controller accessibility is easier

Question: If you use the camera, light, and camera method is there a chance you will click the wrong light and go to camera and get jumpscared?

Because the animatronics can only move at certain times, as long as you're consistently checking both lights within a 5 second window of time or so, this cannot happen.

OMG! I finally beat night 4! This video was so much help

Thank you for the video, I have gotten through the first three nights with a strategy I used but it does not seem to work for the fourth, so I am thankful for this video.

Hey mate, I got a bit of a problem here, I like the tutorial, really helpful guide and works just fine for everyone. Except for mobile users. The problem in mobile is that whenever you pull up the cameras, there is a short time span (about 0.25 secs) before you can pull it back down and in your tutorial, which is on pc, your cameras quickly go back down because of the crazy mouse flick you do (which is awsome). So, I just wanted to ask how to pull it down faster on mobile if possible. I love ur vids and you are doing the gods work!

It's unfortunately not possible, mobile and console are just like that, but this shouldn't be much of an issue anyway. You might have to be a bit more cautious with Bonnie/Chica and it'll take a small amount of extra power, but it's still easily beatable.

If you play on console then don’t waste your time on his cam. Just stay on left side of the office and check the hallway cam. You will see foxy running and you should have more time closing the door. Don’t forget to check chica if you use this method, she’s still active. If you don’t play on console, like pc use this and keep your mouse cursor on the door, you might want to put your sensitivity up on your mouse to be quicker. If your on mobile also like pc/console stay on the left side (bonnie side) and check the hallway, if you see him running your should have no problem closing the door. Don’t forget to check on chica to! If you don’t want to use this method just stall foxy on the cams. This might give Bonnie Freddy and chica enough time to move but if you stall foxy by staying at his camera he won’t move much.
