TheViperian Using Acceleration Class Isn’t Working For Me In Cortex Castle!

Tip for maintaining Blue Fire: Once you take the Blue Pad jump inmediatly. Cuz the jump is a ramp you will take twice the Blue Pad, giving you more reserves which means more Blue Fire time

@@TheViperian Yes, you nailed it. That can be done in some turbo pads, but the Cortex Castle one is the most useful

@@JBullock54 You manually jump just once after you hit the pad and you will land on the ramp after the pad and the ramp gives you the second boost. But of course you automatically get a second "jump" when you go off the ramp.

1:18 beginners and newer players? yeah, no.. that's not happening.

Drift class is also good for beginners as the reserves last longer.

Being aware that I'm blowing my own horn big time, I think not mastering u-turning is the only thing keeping from becoming a 10/10. So far I've refused to learn it because it seems like an easy way out for people who aren't able to master certain turns without it. but tracks like this one are making me reconsider it.

Tips I used for Velo: 1. I used the Drift driving style because it is fast, but turns very well while drifting and in the air. 2. I had to work on getting perfect boosts more often to be able to not drift through the harder parts and still remain blue fire. 3. I drifted through ramps instead of jumping because I learned you get more reserves from perfect boosts than a jump. 4. I didn't do one track at a time so when I got frustrated I could play something else and not do stupid mistakes because of irritation 😂

It annoys me that I only figured out perfect boosts give me more reserves 4 months after the games release. Would have made it so much easier to know that. Discovered it by accident when playing drunk. Made levels like polar pass a hell of a lot easier to maintain the Fire.

Appreciate these videos! These actually helped me get through Dragon Mines and Deep Sea Driving! Will definitely use this one for Cortex Castle! Keep up the great work! Edit 3/24 I finally beat this one and officially completed all the time trials! Drift class is what I used, it help me keep blue flame longer and kept me close to him in order to pass him when he hit the spider on the last lap!

The golden tip for Hot Air Skyway is to... git gud. Jokes aside, if you can maintain blue fire, most probably it's not gonna be a problem!

TheViperian Update: I just defeated Velo on Hot Air Skyway. Now I’m stuck on Cortex Castle. Lap 1 is fine but the last two laps are harder because with blue flames I go so fast and I don’t have time to drift before sharp corners so I lose reserves. I wanna get as much reserves as possible but I drift too far and don’t have time to go back on the road so I bump into a wall.

They added engine changing, the specific character you use doesn't matter, just the driving style.

Each characters are equal in speed, but it depends on which driving style you choose now! I like Liz so I use her in most of my videos hahaha! But yeah, I will be doing a "Driving Style" guide for each maps soon! So stay tuned for that :)

Okay im gonna call you viperian the god of CTR

This is my most hated Velo race. I don't like the track design of Cortex Castle, it looks complex and a pain to race on. I'm just bad at that track. The stupid spiders cost me my time. I've spent 1000's off attempts trying to beat this crap, like how many more, I might just be stuck on this one track forever.

I would advise anyone that is used to drifting to switch to drift class indefinitely. I used to be acceleration class or turn. Always hated speed and only used it as a last resort. But drift class makes so many of these tracks so much easier and more fun.

Your videos are impossible to watch with the constant flashing of giant text across the screen. Just talk over the video and show the gameplay.
