Just wanted to tell Coach and y’all my 9 year old son got sent home today for taking up for a girl on the bus being kicked by the school bully. Son is small for his age 43” but 72lbs. Using a little of mine and a lot of coach Anthony’s teachings you can all guess the outcome. What’s sad is that the schools answer was to have BOTH boys apologize to each other and shake hands! I told my son never apologize for taking up for yourself or a weaker person when it comes to bullying. Thanks coach!

Got my 2nd mma fight July 20th.. He’s a shorter fighter and wrestler, I’m more of a jujitsu guy and striker. Going to work that jab and uppercut thanks

Very good video topic. More often it is talked about the other way around. I happen to be 5'11 and I happen to be taller then some and shorter than some because I'm not extremely tall or extremely short, so it is important that I train for taller and shorter fighters and also around the same. I try to be as well rounded as possible. I try to train for any variety of opponent I can face. Even when I shadowbox I always have a goal to what I'm doing (as in any training) and one of them is I will shadowbox like I'm cutting off the ring and sometimes I'll move and circle and work a long range jab and long combos, and when I'm cutting the ring I imagine trapping my opponent on the ropes or corner and stepping in with my head off centerline and use close range combos (hooks and uppercuts, short range overhands etc..) and when I'm working the outside range I'll use long combos and sometimes using combos that have uppercuts in them for when my opponent gets past my jab or long range punch. Like when I spar I try to have someone taller and someone shorter to spar with. But anyways thanks for an awesome video and God bless

Rather you want to admit it or not, being shorter, especially in fighting is a advantage if you have good head movement and know what your doing.

Great tips coach! There aren't many good videos out there for the taller fighters.

Don't expect to simply win every fight because of that. Learn how to use your length.... Shorter fighters want you to go toe to toe with them.... Gas then out, keep distance..... The rest is history. Don't be a Goliath... Don't let them get some type of heroic story.

That doesn't mean he's going to win tho. Look at Mike Tyson and his peek-a-boo style..... That's pretty hard to beat, regardless of your height. The taller guys always fall for the trick of trying to flat dish it out with him, don't do that.... Don't play that game, they will knock you TF out... Longer arms means it takes longer to punch, which maximizes the chances of you leaving yourself open to a clean punch.

I guess ıts not my concern ehe😂
