    I played in the 1-2-5 Paris Big O game this past week for the first time. I have come to admit to myself that I am squarely in the OMC nit column. I will therefore take your words to heart and turn this thing around. Thanks for your words of advice, great content!

    Ty so much! I love these comments. I really appreciate the comment and Ty for watching. Wayne and I don’t have an official meet up game, but we are going to be at Seminole hard rock in Hollywood florida at the end of July (25-30). Come join us if you are in the area! Probably will be doing another Texas tour or midwest tour here after!

    Hey thankyou so much for your videos been helping me a lot. Quick question, Could you go into a bit more detail about SPR? Give examples of when it would be a good idea to fold and when to keep going. Thank you very much and appreciate the time you put into the content.

  • @ploprofessor

    @ploprofessor

    8 ай бұрын

    So SPR is gonna make a big impact when you notice your opponent or yourself is only going to have a 1:1 SPR post flop. For example you raise with an opening hand to 25, and get 3 bet to 100 (days there were a few limpers in a 2/5 game). You notice the person who 3 bet you pre has 200 in their stack after their $100 bet. So for you it’s only 75 to call what you believe should be to win 425 (the 200 in the pot when you call, the trail, plus what’s in opponents stack) because they will only have a 1:1 SPR - so they are unlikely to fold to anything post flop.

  • @ploprofessor

    @ploprofessor

    8 ай бұрын

    This also applies to any turn bets (so your opponent bets pot of 200 into a 200 pot but they only have 600 remaining…. Not too many turns that your opponent will fold with a 1:1 SPR). Hope this helps! Tyvm for the comment and Ty for watching!

    Hey professor! New watcher & subscriber. GREAT content, will be binging. I've been working up to Big-O by grinding $5/10 O8 (which I'm prettyma good at) & studying as much Big-O as possible (books, equity calcs, hand reviews, etc.). The $5/5 Big-O here is uncapped & plays HUGE. I'm not confident 'taking a shot' using a 5K chunk of my BR (usual buy-in $1K-5K, min - $300). What are your thoughts on short-buys? Thanks! LOL on having a rationale to make the draws pay, showing down what you know is the best hand with so-so cards & being called an idiot. It's a badge of honor to make a good read, drag the pot & get insulted (er complimented).

    First of all welcome to the channel and Ty for subbing and watching! Short stack buy ins force you to play tighter and you also end up losing equity on hands that you are supposed to be bluffing or betting for value on the river. I believe I cover that in one of my first 20 episodes! As for taking a shot; I agree that you are better off building your bankroll first and only take a shot when you can really afford it. Play smart! Ty for watching and Ty for the comment!
