This has to be 2019 because he said that it's the 10th year of a bull market, yet there is no mention or even hint of the 2020 pandemic.

That’s y the market at the time of his lecture was very overpriced As of today it’s most likely underpriced maybe I think the best advice he gives is to be fully invested at all times since timing the market is nearly impossible

The P/Es other than for 1/19 are 23-25 in 2018 and this year.
4 years later, even after one year of bearmarket, spx is still up 40% plus but we get the idea 😅❤️

It came to pass just like he said, there & then. The recent decline, (I believe may have), hit bottom this past October 27, 2023. RIP Charlie T. Munger.

It is still a low return, high risk world today. So the thesis here still stands for the most part
The odds are the markets will be higher in 10 years, so I buy good companies when theyre beaten down

Why it matters that when he gave this speech. The message is clear for everytime. Buy when stock is below it's intrinsic value and you will have better chance to get better returns. But here are more traders than investors.
What year was this made? Solid advice, but things corrected and crashed. His view might be different now.

Why would it be different? When prices go down, your odds improve - that’s his premise.

@@DANNUSGAM If the debt ceiling is not raised and the US defaults on its obligations....bad things happen to ALL assets. That is a big IF, but that is one possibility that he could not have foreseen back then.

@@DANNUSGAM because the market crashed or over corrected, the market is supposed to go up over time, can't be bearish or want decreasing prices forever, think long term, it recovers and goes up.
