It takes 10,000 hours until you even start to be a master at something. Some of the greatest musicians in the world had those 10,000 hours when they were in their late teens. 10k hours is just the start of winning in a particular field. You really wanna win? Don’t be a jack of all trades. Master something. Some guy in his 20’s who thinks he needs to know how to fix cars, fix his house, survive in the wild, in addition to stocks and finances, and getting in top bodybuilding shape, oh yeah and jujitsu and MMA… and reading philosophy… and this doesn’t even include your high income earning job that’s gonna take up a ton of your time, and your social life and picking up girls which you of course gotta do right? man you just can’t do it all. You’re gonna end up being able to do a lot of different things kind of shitty. You’re not gonna be winning, you’re gonna constantly be losing actually, because you never actually excel in one area. Mastering one or even a few things will increase your confidence more than holding yourself to that ridiculous “a man should be able to fix and do everything” standard. Just my philosophy about it.

Remember, wins are accomplished on a gradient. By gradient we mean step by step. You don't jump from the first floor to the second in one leap - you take the stairs, usually one step at a time. Sometimes when what you want to accomplish seems daunting, break it down into steps you can more easily achieve. This helps increase the odds of success to your favor.

Honestly, just forcing myself to do things that I am not confident in. Sure, I embarrassed myself a lot at first ( a lot!), but I learned from it and now I am very confident in social and other situations I was extremely terrible at. Practice and experience win big here. Also, exercising and eating well to look good really helps. ;)

Getting back in the gym has probably been my number 1 confident booster. My body weight is slightly down, but lean muscle is up and body fat is sitting around 14%. I get compliments on my physique all the time and this helps with confidence a lot. I have a background in TaeKwonDo and wrestling but I also started training in Krav Maga about a year ago. Getting pounded as a Krav Maga beginner and then kicking that same person's ass a year later is also a huge confidence builder. Lastly, making bank to the point where I bought my first $100,000 car was not only a confidence booster but also a reward for "chasing excellence" and "doing the work."

Good solid advice. I want to add that, exercising really helps even if one can't build a 'ripped body'. Don't care about if you are ripped or not, focus on strength and endurance and keep exercising. It can be anything - weight lifting, bodyweight, hatha yoga (the hardcore type, that put stress on your body), martial arts, calisthenics, gymnastic or sports. If anyone wants to build confidence, relieve stress and anxiety or bring order in life, this is the first place one starts.

Two things have given me confidence. 1 - Being an entrepreneur my entire life. I run my own show and answer to no one but my clients. Knowing that making money rests squarely on my shoulders gives me bundles of confidence. 2 - Been lifting weights and practicing mma for 30 years. I am a big strong mofo. Years of natural built muscle. I am the biggest guy in the room 99% of the time. Whether it be by people in my circle or complete strangers, I constantly get comments or joked with about my size. As primitive as this is, it feels great knowing others are just a little bit scared to piss me off, lol. The confidence this brings me is immeasurable. Lift weights.

This is great, with surfing you need to start with a big foamy board and catch some small waves (wins) first. Also, it’s good to have other options beyond surfing, such as kitesurfing when the wind is strong, or powered paragliding when the wind is calm. Finally it’s important to expand your horizons (and give yourself more options): for example, Costa Rica is a great place to go surfing and closer to home, but the Mentawais is further beyond and gives you the opportunity to explore another part of the world.

other ways of building confidence is progressing & achieving personal goals in your hobbies such as cycling or running up a steep difficult hill, or running or cycling x number of miles, getting your next colour belt in martial arts, learning new skills, fixing something different to fix, over coming problems. I've felt on top of the world when I have fixed my car at home with limited resources & tools by overcoming a problem at little expense -Especially if a garage/ mechanic has quoted me hundreds of £ to fix. Also building something for the house or garden or tree house for your kid with very basic DIY skills. Something that the average guy would pay a skilled professional to do. That sense of accomplishment & achievement is a genuine confidence builder ✊👌

I wouldn't laugh at a man or woman who knows how to make coffee. Quite the opposite. That is something I consider admirable. Coffee is serious stuff. It's not like you're just some schmuck handing out soda cans. Coffee damned well matters.

@@Biosynchro thank you I travel to different countries and bring back to America the best coffee I can find and I can't keep it in stock. My problem now is getting it thru customs fast enough before people get mad at me. Im waiting on some coffee from Brazil right now. I bought a home there 4 years ago and thats how I started my business

I agree with everything you said except for the video game competitions. As an ex competitive gamer I would say most of video games is a waste of time. And you don't realize that until you finally quit but unless there's a study that showed winning in video game tournaments doesnt get your testosterone up I don't believe it. (saying this as one of your fans who you heled completely change their life around, my story is crazy and would love to break it down for you sometime bc I think it could bring real value to others especially the guys who waste their lives away with video games. I was the bullied kid, had a shitty family, doctor's told me I was crazy, and now I'm the chad that anywhere I go eyes are on me)

My example is when I started gaining muscle, that's when my confidence exploded. Women noticed me more, I got compliments from women and men, people subconsciously moved away in the crowd. Go to the gym.

Rich, my dude, scars on a man are not ugly. Like unless it disfigures like half your face, you are good. You can't expect a dude to fight a bear and storm a castle and come back without a scratch. It can not have been something women ever selected against.

One of the things that made me gain more confidence was this: stop looking for women's approval focus on gaining more money I used to lack of confidence so much months ago, but since I started to stop looking for approval and got some projects that gave me money, I've started to feel better about myself. Also, do some self-care every day (whatever it is, whether it's eating better or skincare, whatever, just do it.) I'm also starting a gym in the following weeks, so that keeps me motivated and confident. Thank you Rich, for your videos, you've done such an incredible work and thanks to that I am starting to change my life and building myself up.

Deep inside every man lies some great warrior. Don't give up your goals. And never forget: Losing a battle is not losing a war. The war is lost only when you surrender. If you see something as a failure, just lower the bar, and it becomes a victory. Every step taken towards your ultimate goal is a victory, not a failure. Learn to see obstacles on your road like a winner, not a loser. And don't go chasing anything else than your own goals. Modern occidental women are not worth the trouble they give anymore.

Actually wining in the video games does work in terms it will rise your testosterone and exploration games do give you a dopamine rash. They are good at tricking your brain. But most of the time they will not grand you any recognition from the group and most of the time you don't get any monetary value out of them. Although you could say that some video games train your reflexes, your hand-eye coordination and multitasking skills, but they do nothing for your physical ability. Well unless you want be good at playing ping pong or want to be a quick draw gunslinger.
