Just a note you can barricade both sides of doors/windows for extra defense at the cost of more resources.

Amateur tip because I had no idea: Make sure to unpack the Box of Nails if you have nails in them. It didn't work for me with them only in a box

Barricades are more durable when its placed inside of the building, also, metal bars and big metal sheets can be used as barricade, if you has the metal working profession.

Does disassembling furniture attract zombies from the noise? My base house got overrun but I have no idea why. For some reason, about 8 of them were crowded around one of the bedroom windows, but every thing was closed up tight with drapes covering.

It does make noise but how you do it also matters. As example if you disassemble versus knocking them down with axe. The PZ Wiki has a pretty good hearing distance overview that may help.

Are we can barricade on broken windows / doors??

I'm confused. I have plenty planks, scrap wood, boxes of screws and nails, different hammers and I saw but when I right click on a window there is no barricade option on the list? I can't barricade anything help me

Something is not right about that. What type of server are you on? If you have all the materials, it will work, unless mod has changed process.

Opposite way shown here. You need to be outside to remove the planks, unless they are inside and outside.

@@SenileSarge spawned in like a 2 room building that was completely barricaded, 2 zombie strippers in the bathroom, cupboard full of guns.. ended up firing a shot, got released by the zombies and fought my merry way to a car. Still dont know how i was suppose to break out of there

I simply enabled the mini map on a dedicated serer in the lua.

Its not letting me barricade even though I have 203 planks

I'm in a bit of a pickle. For some reason it won't let me barricade the windows. And yes, I have a hammer that's not broken, planks of wood, and nails not inside a box. I'm new to the game so I'm not sure what to do.

I dont understand why you would do this though, by barricading you are just limiting the ways you can get out of the house and if zombies get in through the only way that isnt barricaded you'll likely die because there isnt any other way out

The main reason you do this is so they can't see in and it is harder for them to get in. If you block all the windows, doors, etc. you will be fine. You are right though, always plan a way to get out of the house just in case.

@@SenileSarge but if you use planks then you can't see them either and now it will be a lot harder to see outside because you'll have to manually get them all out. but if you just use a curtain all the time then they won't be able to see you and u won't need the barricades anymore
