Props for being the person in a sea of tutorials who brings attention to the little things that are super-frustrating early-on if you hadn't thought about it, such as just flipping out a screen (or even putting a small hood on your camera lens) will completely change your balance point. One thing I would have liked to see that it took me a bit to realize, because a camera rig is not a perfectly balanced thing itself and even the smallest difference one side or the other totally changes the balance, if you do something such as changing the focal length and then change move the plate backward or forward to compensate, you are going to have to adjust left/right as well, since moving it in either dimension totally changes your weight distribution in both dimensions.

5:00 That wasn’t two seconds. That was maybe .75. That was rushed for sure. We also don’t start at one when counting; we start from zero.

What is the stand mount that you are using? I have the flycam table clamp mount bit yours is different. Did you modify the table clamp mount to fit the tripod?

Amazing video, thank you! My question is how exactly did you get the table clamp onto a stand/tripod?

Theres a small screw where the clamp is. You remove that and it should fit any tripod now :)

I have a question. When I try to use my flycam. The camera rotates. It I manage to stabilize my x and y axis but not my z axis.

That means you still have a weight problem. Try adding more weights at the bottom in the case of any rotation.

My Canon 200D weighs barely a kg! (pound) so its quite difficult getting my stabiliser balanced. Does anyone know of any hacks to make the top heavier?

Adding some plates to the top should do the trick. Prop into your hardware store and some some metal plates that you can stack and screw in.

Your second hand is to control the pole. You are teaching people incorrect techniques.
