I'm in Toronto. I was just offered a free upgrade to iPhone 6 from my old 4S from my service provider. There's a $20 reconnection fee. I wasn't sure how to, or, if I could actually restore everything. Once I watched your video and followed your example I realized that my phone's been saving to iCloud all this time. About your video: You speak well and in a concise manner. Your tone and tempo are perfect for a teacher/instructor. I was quite nervous about my decision to upgrade or not, but of all the videos I watched it was yours that convinced me to accept my service provider's offer. A free upgrade to iPhone 6 just sounds right, since I've been with my provider for more than 15 years.

Reset changed nothing. It neither erased the temporary number I put in it to function nor game me any other options to access the cloud. Complete waste of 8 minutes.

Does it back up everything say you buy 200gb so messages, call log, contacts, music, photos videos, apps etc etc i want a mirrored version of my old phone exactly just so its the same???

Lisa Mair It's easy because iCould requesting the lastest version of iOS so all you have to do is Update youre iDevice to the latest iOS Firmware such as iOS 8.3 for now and youre good to go to restore all youre things from iCould :) Hope I could helped you more

+I can't back up mine either because it says a high level of iOS is required but it doesn't give the option to upgrade the new device to the latest iOS. I am worried if I set it up as a new device I won't be able to sync it with my existing backed up data......

Catherine Kiaie Heyy Catherine What iPhone do you have and what iOS your iPhone is on ? & Did you back up your stuff from iCould or iTunes or what ?! It's easy to Restore your iPhone as a new 1 but at the same time we don't want you to lose your important stuff you have. Absolutely, the another way to transfer files from old iPhone to iPhone 6 is using iTunes. However, no matter which way we choose, there is a disadvantage that we can't selectively choose the data we want to transfer to our new iPhone but all of information from iTunes or iCloud backup. Some article shows the another way to transfer data from iPhone to the new one is using third-party too like AnyTrans, MobileTrans,SynciOS Phone Transfer.

Yes. When my sisters iPad broke (It runs 8.3) and I fixed it and restored it back to her backup. It was running fine again. Then I have my iPad 2 with iOS 9.2.1 (I accidentally upgraded from 7.0.6 to 7.1.2 to 8.0 to 8.4 to 9.2 then iOS 9.2.1) which I downgraded from 9.3 and my apps failed to restore but it works again. You can just get all the data back by installing the apps on App Store and it will organize to before.

Asya phill can I do this i already have an iPhone 6 and everything is made all the iCloud's are settled up if I wanted to get a new iPhone is it all I have to do is sign with the iCloud that I already made on the iPhone 6 and then on the new iPhone everything will be on there

Sooo when your pictures and video don't transfer...then what? I saved them on my pc and was able to sync them to the phone BUT it put it in a file that I couldn't do anything to the photos without moving to the file folders on the iphone 6+...

Setup and then update. Then wipe and start over. Only way to do it.
