Thank you for such extensive info on glaucoma. I've been experiencing flashes of lights when I blink and recently a very painful left eye which I initially associated with sinus pressure but now I think I need to go see eye doctor. I'm worried now cause I once went totally blind for a single day when I was 12 yrs on my way from school, my gran gave me some laxative and I was fine the same night. I know how blindness is. Video is my wake up call, thanks a lot

She told me I hard it, gave me a prescription for a bottle of eyedrops and said, have a great day, see you in 40 days. So I am on KZread looking for informative videos. Thanks for sharing.

She hasn't mentioned the laser treatment option or the surgical option but it's good to know she has these options. Your video is a godsend; now at least I know where my friend stands and I can have a more enlightened/meaningful discussion with her to give myself the assurance that she's availing herself of proper early treatment.

Tell your friend from me, I've had 7 eye opps and have two valves in left eye and three in right eye which is now destroyed after last implant. I'm in a lot of pain and have gone blind in that eye. But what I've learnt only over the last year from a man who was fixing my car is that certain foods can bring pressure right down - so I eat a bowl of blueberries every morning which I buy frozen from super market, I take vitamin A in capsule form and I get aloe vera tablet form which I ordered from Amazon, along with and Lutein and Zeaxanthin combined. My pressure in good eye has gone down rapidly and stayed down for 8 months now. I couldn't believe it. I also try to avoid stress which is easier said than done. and have cleaned up diet a lot, because my body gets very inflamed if I don't. Hopefully like me her pressures will go down and she can get of those awful drops that make your eyes so sore and have many bad side effects. God bless

Savir centre (Magdeburg) is an option that is more holistic and not so expensive. The other method with using light impulses (I forget the name but they have a clinic in Berlin) is more expensive and might not be so holistic. However, the most inexpensive and complete method I've seen ($400, including course and special supplements for 1 year) is the 'Pure vision method'. Check it out online. It will explain the true causes of glaucoma, and gives a 12-week self-help course where the person can address the various factors that cause the problem. (I am not affiliated with them.) Thank you so much Doc for a very insightful presentation. My eye doctor suspected that I have a closure angle glaucoma after my cataract surgery. After 3 months of continued use, these eye drops made me feel dizzy in the morning and my eyes get red and itchy. I also experience difficulty in breathing at bedtime and most of the time feeling insomniac. Could you please recommend me any brand with the least side effects, or the safest ones to use? Or do i have to discontinue using them? Thank you Doc for your honest reply.

Sometimes you develop allergy for the prescribed eye drops ( it happened with me) . Change of medicine , eyedropds helps… so go to doctor at once… get periphery vision test too.

am now 60 and was told about 35 that I had it, I've had 7 eye opps and have two valves in left eye and three in right eye which is now destroyed after last implant. Lazer also which never did a thing. now left in a lot of pain and have gone blind in the right eye. But what I've learnt only over the last year from a man who was fixing my car is that certain foods can bring pressure right down - so I eat a bowl of blueberries every morning which I buy frozen from supermarket, I take vitamin A in capsule form and I get aloe vera tablet , which I ordered from Amazon, along with and Lutein and Zeaxanthin combined. My pressure in good eye has gone down rapidly and stayed down for 8 months now. I couldn't believe it. I also try to avoid stress which is easier said than done. and have cleaned up diet a lot, because my body gets very inflamed if I don't. Hopefully like me her pressures will go down and she can get of those awful drops that make your eyes so sore and have many bad side effects. forgot to mention I take vitamin D3 With K combined And half tab of magnesium too, God bless

Eye drops don't heal the root cause. Please check online the 'Pure vision method'. It will explain the true causes of glaucoma, and gives a 12-week self-help course where the person can address the various factors that cause the problem. (I am not affiliated with them.) To me, it seems the best and most comprehensive method. They also include 12 months of a special supplement to help heal the problem.

Why is hypertension considered a risk factor, when studies claim that low blood pressure worsen’s glaucoma.

Both do. Hypertension can damage the nerves by too much pressure, Hypotension can suffocate the nerve basically.

They say so. Not much research has been done (like clinical trials). But quite a few people were helped. It is expensive though. Please check online the 'Pure vision method'.
