Hi, I have a problem with the BT of my pioneer AVH-X7850, I managed to pair with my iphone SE without problem, but soon it disconnected, I tried several times erasing the memory of the BT and resetting the phone, I re-pair it, But it goes back to disconnect alone, without any apparent cause, you think it can be a defective unit, BT antenna?

New to this system (came with vehicle purchased yesterday). I think it's a total UI failure/sin to simply gray the option out with no indication why. We wasted two full hours messing with it and THEN got stranded as a result (needed a jump start). All it needs is a status indicator or a pop-up when you try to tap a grayed-out option or something.

You’ll need to engage the vehicle’s Parking Brake in an ON-OFF-ON operation in order to access the Bluetooth setup menu. This might also be known as the Hand Brake or the Emergency Brake. If you engage the vehicle’s Parking Brake and still can’t access the Bluetooth menu, the in-dash receiver’s Green Parking Brake Wire may have an incorrect connection to vehicle. First, please be sure your phone is not connected to another device such as a headset or a portable speaker. This can block the phone from connecting to the in-dash receiver. Next, please be sure the phone's volume control is up to about 50% when playing music and connected to the in-dash receiver. If this does not correct the issue here are a few steps to take. I recommend to delete all of the phones out of the receiver's Bluetooth memory. You can see this on a similar receiver in this Pioneer How To video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/jG2KtryBh7Pgm7Q.html Next I recommend to delete the in-dash receiver from your phone's Bluetooth memory. Next, restart your phone. Next press the receiver's microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer AVH-A215BT at the bottom of the hard key panel. After the phone and the receiver restart, begin the phone pairing process from the beginning. You can see it in this Pioneer How To video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/paCqpKWYZa6YoLA.html When the phone and the receiver are paired and connected, begin to play some music on the phone, and change the receiver to the Bluetooth Audio Source. You can see this in this Pioneer How to video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nXaam9WSp6ialKg.html You can find more videos on Pioneer's KZread Channel here: kzread.info

What is the model number of your Pioneer in-dash receiver? Pioneer receivers that have built-in Bluetooth play music from a phone through the Bluetooth Audio Source. Once you've connected your phone to the receiver through Bluetooth, simply select the receiver's Bluetooth Audio Source. You don't need to engage the vehicle's Parking Brake in order to pair a phone to your Pioneer in-dash receiver. With the vehicle safely stopped and running, use your phone to search for Bluetooth Devices and select the Pioneer receiver. Confirm this on the in-dash receiver. You can see it in this Pioneer How To video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eK2owcNylpjfkaw.html If you need to get into the receiver's Bluetooth Settings, you’ll need to engage the vehicle’s Parking Brake in an ON-OFF-ON operation in order to access the Bluetooth setup menu. This might also be known as the Hand Brake or the Emergency Brake. If the Parking brake is at your feet depress the pedal to engage the Parking Brake. If you engage the vehicle’s Parking Brake and still can’t access the Bluetooth menu, the in-dash receiver’s Green Parking Brake Wire may have an incorrect connection to vehicle. @@Wall.Street.AV. This answer is a little longer. Please read the complete answer before you proceed. I'll focus on the Samsung S21. It should be able to work with Wireless Android Auto. The S7 phone is mentioned later in this answer. There are several possible issues that may need to be corrected. Please confirm you are in the US, or are you in a different region? What is the phone's service provider? Some service providers will block internet access to Android Auto. When using Android Auto Wireless, the phone and the in-dash receiver have a Wi-Fi connection to one another. This means the phone can not use it's Wi-Fi to access the internet. Internet access must come from the phone's service provider data plan. Wireless Android Auto must have a data plan in place from the service provider, so the phone can have access to the internet through it's cellular service provider. If the phone does not have a data plan, Android Auto will not work. Please confirm that you have downloaded and installed the latest version of the Android Auto App on to your phones. You must have the Android Auto App installed on the phone for it to work with Android Auto on the receiver. Please confirm you have installed the latest firmware for your receiver. You can find the latest firmware for the Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX here: www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/NEX/AVH-W4400NEX#downloads 1. Delete all phones from the in-dash receiver's Bluetooth Memory. You can see this demonstrated in this Pioneer How To video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/rI6Go5qsft2cl9Y.html 2. Press the receiver's microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX on the hard key panel to the far right. When you press the microprocessor reset button you may need to enter the receiver's security pass word to operate the receiver. Please be sure you know the receiver's security password before you press the microprocessor reset button. You can see this demonstrated in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/poZ8us9-j9vZcag.html 3. Delete the in-dash receiver from your Phone's Bluetooth memory. 4. Delete all references of the receiver from the phone's Android Auto App. 5. Restart your Phone. 6. Begin the phone pairing process from the beginning. The easiest way to do this is shown in the video> You can see it here. Please watch this with the sound on before you start the process: kzread.info/dash/bejne/q6OEp5medpuaXZM.html It may be possible, however, I believe, the Galaxy s7 will almost certainly not work with wireless Android Auto. It should work just fine with the wired version of Android auto connected to the receiver through USB port 2. The phone must have a data plan from the service provider. Don't try to use the receiver's USB port 1 it will not work for Android Auto. You can learn more about using the Wired version of Android Auto in this Pioneer How To video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aICYltyRnLGpo9o.html You can find a full playlist of How To videos about Pioneer NEX in-dash receivers here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gZakrbqworGepdY.html and you can find more videos on Pioneer's KZread Channel here: kzread.info

The Bluetooth operation of the Pioneer AVH-X4700BS and the Pioneer AVH-X4800BS are nearly identical. The AVH-X4700BS included a Bluetooth Microphone in the box. If the remote caller can hear you, it appears that the in-dash receivers Bluetooth microphone is working correctly. If you can't hear the remote caller through the in-dash receiver, it's because you don't have the FRONT speaker outputs connected in your system.
