Hi Leila, thanks for the info, but one small correction, if I may. To enter today's date, it is Ctrl + ;. Ctrl + Shift + :/; will give you the time right now.

Thank you! I've wondered if there were an easy way to do this for some time.

You can also enter today's date and then press and hold the Right mouse botton and then drag. When you stop Excel will ask you what you want, "days", "weekdays", ",months" or "years". Happy Excelling and thanks again for a GREAT channel.

Another tip: Select a range of cells from start (cell with value 1) to the end (cell with value 2). The Series dialog fills Series in Columns and divides intervals into equal sections (fills in Step value). It will generate x-axis values for the graph, for example.

Thank you for this tip, I actually created a few spread sheets 5 weeks past, for a group of stocks with a range of daily moving averages up till 200 DMA, I then had to manually determine each weekend for these spread sheets and tag them for no data inputs. So Ya!...... thank you for da "Tip"

Brilliant but the Month/Day/Year system only use in the US make it weird.

Lovely not too fast I know what the purpose is before I start and it was slow enough when you went to click on things that I didn't feel like I was watching some sort of Speed Demon

But how to determine the weekend? It is sometimes different from place to place

What if you have say only 4 weekdays needed and special school holidays like July 4th off? Try to build a college semester schedule. TIA

I organized my Timesheet with a dropdown list with more than 20 different tasks and "Wekend" is included there as part of the list. But I do not want to choose every time the weekends manually. I have a column nearby with the date from the present month. There the weekends are visible and are with different color as well. Disregarding the dropdown list I would like when a certain weekday is a Weekend (according to the calendar nearby) here in the column with the tasks to appear automatically the word "Weekend" in a different color as well.
