Try weekly roundup for current affairs, whatever you studied in the week make sure to go through it atleast once. It'll hardly take 5 mins. Then go for monthly revision at the end of the month. For GK section, cover that static part which is in news, for ex if a national park is in news go through its history formation, animals, rivers found there. So in this way you'll cover the static which is actually relevant and imp.

At the end, SCORING is important! It depends on what strategy you adopt. Attempting 80 and scoring 70 is also a skill. But if you opt for attempting 100+ & scoring 70, then you lack confidence in marking answer and losing way too many marks in negative. If one belongs to the latter category, try minimizing that.
