+Andy Watts Thanks Andy. Having a few weeks off fishing, so I can get on with a few jobs at home. I'll be back out there soon enough though...

Hi Tom, Yes My name is Paul, that is a brilliant demo on how to fit the rig to the flick tip.It has answered My question really well, thank you so much :-) As I said, someone had written about this, but seeing it you can get your head around it easy.Been to post office today and got My new Licence, going to go for one of those Preston whips.Choosing the 4 meter one as can always use it shorter if I want. Cheers again, will let you know how I get on.Kind regards Paul.

+Paul Reeve No worries, Paul. Hope you get some good catches! I love whip fishing, especially for roach. Great in the summer with hemp too. Let us know how you get on...

Hi Tom, Just had My Preston Absolute Whip arrive this morning.I know you said you were interested in one so here is some details. It is 4.1 meters extended, 132 grams in Weight and the flick tip diameter is .6 mm I was surprised how thin the flick tips are on these, they look so brittle ! Cannot wait to try it out, will keep you posted regards Paul.

+Paul Reeve Sweet! Yeah, all my whips have had really thin tips. Never broken a tip though! My daiwa broke twice a few years ago, on the second section, swinging little roach in! Very odd. They replaced them FOC though :D

Great video Tom, I have found that fitting rubber as with a pole works well, my 9ft ans 11.6" tele whips have about three feet of sice 8 rubber in the end section and cope with anything well, when slipped back in telescopic all fits in side the back tube ok.

+Dannyandben Fishing Hello, I've had a few sessions on there with limited success! I really like the look of those waters though and they'll probably get a bit of attention from me during the close season. How about you, fished them much? I'm curious to know the tench potential in the yately lakes, as I'm not a member of any other clubs atm...

+Dannyandben Fishing I've just fished summer pit once. Caught a little perch :P After talking to a very nice and helpful bailiff, I gather it doesn't fish too well. It's very silty, with a lot of rubbish on the bottom. I might try a night on there when it warms up a bit. Just pile the bait in and see what happens!
