Not too difficult to assemble (see below)The assembly instructions left out a few tips, IMHO (see photo for my tips)Oh, and be patient when you attach the cage halves together (last step). You might want to loosen the screw just a little bit before you start. It's awkward (don't drop it!), but you'll get it.

I nearly gave up on mine …. All I was missing was the first step in this video….Thank You soo much

So glad you posted this. I was SO frustrated with the instructions. First of all, you need a strong light and a magnifying glass to see them. Secondly, there were black parts that were not part of the instructions that prevented putting it together. From the video, I figured out that they were not part of the fan and I could discard them. The company obviously cares more about conserving paper than they do about me. With the help of the video, I figured it all out. So thank you.

I got a similar fan from Costway today. Mine did not come with instructions. This video may have helped but it doesn't explain how to attach the head to the base. I tried tightening the screw but it's really loose and doesn't stay attached when you lift it. Don't buy a Costway fan if your not mechanically inclined. The 6 year old fan I am trying to replace snapped together in 2 minutes and wasn't much different except it came with instructions.

I finally got this thing figured out. If you have the the EP24830, be aware that putting the front cage is a nightmare. It's basically a strap with a screw. If the strap falls off, it's really hard to get seated again. The trick is how tight the screw is. If too tight, it won't allow the front cage to snap in. If it's to loose, it gets floppy and just falls off. I had to adjust the screw five times before it kinda worked. The issue in my previous statement is also kind of solved but still very loose and wobbly. My solution will be duck tape which is sad =(

To attach fan to housing on pelonis hold metal center part stiil and unscrew plastic top , look closely it has arrow and says which way to loosen, but you must hold the metal pin firmly . Then back housing on then slide fan blade on so the 2 notched parts fit onto little pins sticking out on main pin.

I was so excited to see this assembled on a video, because I spent 3 hours on Friday night trying to get this put together. As everyone else said, the instructions SUCK! And now this guy doesn’t even explain how to keep the bottom pilar to the main piece. I thought maybe I missed something, but after reading the comments, I realized he just skipped it, like we’re supposed to know this. The easiest part was attaching the polar to the base. Everything else is crazy! And he didn’t even mention the plastic washer in the fan assembly itself. It’s supposed to keep the fans in place. I’m going to try and do it all over again from the beginning.

I would like to save everyone some time on assembly with this fan and better explain what some people have been trying to help with, after you set up the base. First thing is unscrew the black knob on the back of the control panel all the way off until you get the metal screw to come off to. Once you get it off on the inside of the control panel where you just unscrewed the knob, there is a little slit, slide the little screw in that (it will stay in place) and then add the control panel to the pole, you'll be able to tighten from there when you put the knob back in

ya i just Bought PELONIS PFS45A5BBB 18 inch 5-Blade Oscillating, Adjustable Standing Pedestal such i LOOOVE & BLOWS HARD WOW is great powered fan, F**** lasko LOUD mother fathers fans .. ya the unscrew that nut part was really hard had to use tool to hold it & unscrew it was really hard & deep screwed in they should never put it on & screwed it in such as was stupid

You need two cloths or small towels. One to hold the pin and one to hold the nut. This is to allow a proper grip. Then turn the nut to the right to loosen the nut

This is great, thank you for posting! The directions for assembly were horrible; they weren't making sense, and very tiny. This was incredibly helpful as my plastic nut was on very tightly and I wasn't sure whether it was supposed to screw off or not. Turns out I was turning it the wrong way.

You make it look so easy. The stupid ring keeps falling off, I'm about to return the piece of garbage, and buy a decent fan.

I screwed the base. Then I placed the whole fan on top of the base without any screws etc. Just like you did in the video....its very wobbly?

There is a screw behind the main control panel that you are supposed to tighten. It's not totally secure or anything, there's no place in the pillar for that screw to go into like what you might think. It's not very stable, the whole thing wobbles on every oscillation as a result. :(

Holy Hannah!!!! well I had undone the black turn screw completely of the fan housing and didn't realize there was a NUT inside that it was to be screwed into it..... I watched Zee Pink's video..... looked into my fan housing and no nut inside there for the screw.. I realized then when I unscrewed the black turn screw out of the fan housing I probably lost it and didn't realize it... after searching the floor I found the nut...... so I put the nut back into the slot in the fan housing and just put the black turn screw in enough to hold the nut in place... I put the fan housing back onto the silver post and THEN the black turn screw tightens and holds the fan together. THAT was the worst part of assembling this fan. smh they should warn you not to completely remove that black turn screw from the fan housing. smh

Love your video: I couldn't find the machine screw or nut that goes on the plastic ring. I finally went back to the shipping box and went through it thoroughly and finally found them loosely in the plastic wrap? On your video you didn't show the process for getting the plastic ring on the front grill. However I was able to figure it out once I saw the plastic ring already installed on the front grill? I tried to wrap the ring around both the front grill and the rear grill at the same time.(impossible) the rest of the video was perfect and easy to follow. Thank you very much for posting the video. Did anyone else have trouble finding the machine screw and nut? I emailed customer service and they didn't have a clue. So I told the i would go to a local hardware store and purchase on myself...

Undo the screw cap on the side (black plastic) all the way, slide the pole in, then tighten screw. The directions are AWFUL in the package, and it took me forever to figure out how to assemble what should be something easy - a fan!

Make sure you loosen the screw enough so that it can slide fully down and then when you tighten the screw back down into the groove on the pole. But don't unscrew the screw enough that it completely comes off. The instruction manual is in fact horrid. Go slowly and examine each part as you go. Especially if you are not handy to begin with.

O.k. the Plastic ring.. Mines is Way to "SMALL", I can't even put the screw in to go on the outer Ring to even do this... UGH, nvm, I got it. I had TRY to put the plastic ring on the outer ring on the Floor and tighten it up using the floor as my support. I Swear, just to make a Good fan, This part of the assembly should NOT have to be that difficult....

Not very many of you have very much if any at all commen sense on how to put basic parts of just pretty much anything huh? I read these comments like what the hell seems to be everyones problem with needing help on how to assemble. Now i know your asking well why are you here watching tje video then and thats a simple answer i got for ya i am not one who is wondering how tok put the square block peg into the square hole or any kind of assembly and if that part gave you trouble then you should not be any where near the level in which i am trying to fix and that would be cause i am fixing the actual 3 mod switch on the inside of the chassis where the on, off, 3,2 and 1 buttons are because i found this fan sitting outside of neighbors and it looked brand new so i snagged it to find out no power to switches. After checking the fuse in the plug itself which i guarantee less than half of you knew about it or its location. Its good by the way. But i disassembled the top chassis to find that the black wire that goes to the switch which i am sure is the power wire was completely disconnected from the switch and to my surprise its not ripped out, there was no solder holding it in or on and the is no screw to hold it in place or i would know where the said wire was supposed to go but cant seem tok find its location of purpose so thats why i am here to answer that question when you read my comment was thinking to your self well then why are you here smart ass and that would be my answer is it is to fix the wiring inside switch but did not go in depth to that level so im back on the search but great video never would have thought that many people were lacking commen sense to that decree. I guess the saying common sense is commonly lacked is dead in balls accurate. But not every one learns on the same scale or pace so to each his own
